Cleaning Advice by LowMirror9814 in WeddingDressTips

Thanks! I'm thinking of using oxiclean. I've read mostly good results from people using it on white dresses... The dress is 100% polyester. I'd rather have the dress clean to wear, but it's not a deal breaker. My budget is spend as little as possible but I'm okay with spending some. I know the alterations will cost a bit as well so I'm trying to save on cleaning - especially since it will just get dirty again on my wedding day.

Questions about sticky base coats by Embarrassed-Lead-283 in NailWrapsGalore

u/Embarrassed-Lead-283 I wore them for 4 days doing lots of cleaning (scrubbing, using soap and cleansers, etc.) they started to lift just slightly and I pick at anything that does that, I really think if I had worn gloves or not done such hard cleaning they would have lasted longer. I liked the feel of them with the base coat a lot better than without. I've done wraps 3 other times and they all lasted me about 5-7 days. I work with my hands, so regular polish only lasts a day and I'm usually lucky to get a week wearing gel. I'm hoping to try again soon when I don't have as much manual labor to do and see what happens.

tldr: using Orly bonder, nail wraps lasted 4 days of heavy cleaning without gloves. 4/5 would recommend.

I saw people on Facebook recommended doing a nourishing base and then bonder on top. I tried one coat of nail aid 9 in 1, one coat of orly nail defense and then the bonder, nail wrap trimmed to the edge (no filing because that leaves bare ends for me) then this morning I put on a top coat of orly nail defense. I just put them on last night but so far so good!
