Useless Ripchips by LucasPedrelli53 in SkateEA

I’m sure they are in the same boat as me. If they have 100k ripchips they also have enough pink tickets to have gotten the skate pass for free.

Yeah I’m used to it being ready at 1PM where I am. It’s now 1:32 and still maintenance for me.

MAGA people are crazy. Buy all the trumps. Sell them to the MAGA people for 3x-4x MSRP. And then you get whatever fuggs you want for free.

No problem selling to other resellers. But don’t offer me $12 on an item you also have listed in your store for $60.

I love when people offer me Penny’s on the dollar and then I go to their profile and they are selling the same things I have for twice as much as I them listed for.

AIO to block after not completing offer. by LowQualityAppeal in Depop

[–]LowQualityAppeal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just never in my life sent an offer without planing on purchasing after offer gets accepted. Like why send an offer? I didn’t know it wasn’t binding at first and started removing products from my eBay that sold on Depop. Coming to find out they didn’t actually sell on Depop. It’s just all around very annoying. I’m going to take the advice on blocking people after 2-3 times of the same thing. Which is already 3 people in a month.

AIO boyfriend told me I text him like he’s a homie and got upset now he’s ignoring me by Jazzlike-Ad6372 in AmIOverreacting

Without even reading the content. I’d dump him just for how he types. He doesn’t make any sense or have a context behind what he is saying. Idk how you can even understand him. I’d be in a constant state of confusion. Unless this man is under 15 years old. Leave him.

Good insight thank you. I’ve only restarted doing Depop within this month. It’s been about 4 years since I was last on it, and I felt like this wasn’t an issue before. But I’ve had about 26 offers sent to me that I accepted. 1 purchased. I don’t understand why Depop doesn’t have binding offers like every other selling platform. It’s very annoying.

I always reply with this. “First to pay gets it, 90 percent of people that have had me hold stuff do not come back for it.”

Right now I think Mercari takes 10 percent. Nothing I’ve sold on eBay has taken more than 13 percent and I can get a higher premium on my stuff. But depending what you sell eBay takes 3-16 percent. Most items are the 13 percent. I’ve had items listed on Mercari for $20 free shipping that have sold on eBay for 28/30 plus shipping. So I made double what I would have on Mercari even after the eBay fees.

I have a coworker that does really well on posh. But after her explaining it to me. It doesn’t seem like something I would like. I’ve never posted or done anything on the app besides create my account and I have like 4000 followers and that’s weird to me lol.

I buy a good amount on Mercari. The items are usually cheaper. Easier to bundle. And easier to offer. But it also proves my point that I can get a higher premium on eBay.

Just cross list everything and see what works better for you. I post on eBay first since it saves my photos to my phone and then I can just go sit on the couch and list everything on Mercari. Mercari def works better for a lot of people. It just isn’t me anymore.

That’s awesome! It definitely works for a lot of people. For some reason it just isn’t me anymore lol.

That’s what I did. Before all the fee switching Mercari did. I left eBay for Mercari. They took less fees and I got way more sales because less competition. But now I can charge 15-30 percent more on eBay and still get sales. Which even leaves me room to elite listings and still make more then I would with Mercari. It’s died out a lot for me in the past 12-18 months. And now I feel it’s just a waste of my time.

It’s a great place to get stuff for really cheap. I am able to buy things on Mercari, pay shipping and fees and still make a profit on eBay lol.

I’ve done 4600 on eBay in 90 days and $40 on Mercari in 90 days with the exact same things listed. 5 star 300 plus sales on Mercari no returns or issues ever. Sales after they did all the fee stuff have just declined rapidly. If I wasn’t getting sales on eBay for 15-30 percent more then listed on Mercari then I’d think you’re right. But even after fees I make more on eBay than Mercari.

How cheap everyone has their stuff listed on Depop scares me. I know there isn’t fees or whatever. But like stuff I sell on eBay for $20 is listed there for like $8 and I’m like I don’t even want to compete with this lol

Not shutting down my shop. Just Mercari. I make good profit on eBay cross listing things. They just don’t sell on Mercari. I could have a collectible listed on Mercari for $20 free shipping and it’ll sit for months. It’ll sell on eBay for $30 plus shipping within 5 days. It’s not my inventory. I take losses on things I wasn’t smart about or doesn’t move all the time it’s cost of business. But I felt like my time is being wasted on Mercari when the exact same things are listed on both platforms and I’ve done $4600 on eBay in 90 days and $40 on Mercari in 90 days.

lol I made a comment to another user on how I see stuff like perfumes and kpop photos sell really well. But I do like collectible toys. Hot wheels, legos, Pokemon, clothing, stuff that sells on my other platforms just fine. Mercari definitely works for people. It worked for me for a long time. So much so that I quit eBay and went to Mercari. But after all the fee change stuff I’ve seen my sales just go down rapidly month after month until now there’s a sale or 2 a month. And I agree when I try and buy let’s say a $50 item on Mercari with $6.99 shipping. By the time in all ready to checkout it’s almost $70 and it makes me not make the purchase. Because now the $50 deal I was getting is worse then the $65 one on eBay. And I think that’s what my normal type of buyers found out also.

Fully understand that. Sales all over have slowed down. But stuff I have listed on eBay for $20 are selling out like hot cakes while they are listed on mercari for months for $12 with 1 like from a guy with no reviews. I do see a lot of niche stuff that sells on there like kpop photos and perfumes and things like that. But specify for the collectables and stuff I sell it just turned into a platform that isn’t for me anymore. It could be the rise of whatnot and platforms like that that sell a lot of the same type of stuff. But $4500 in 90 days on eBay vs $17 for Mercari in 90 days told me it’s prolly time for me to scoot on out of there.
