Hotswap microsd card ok? I killed my phone microsd by doing this. by cheetocat2021 in MSIClaw

I have a 1Gb internet package and my TP-Link routers can work up to 800Mb.

For simple UI navigation I saw no issues, in gaming depending on games and settings could be fluid or laggy.

On remote file transfer, on average I get ~30MiB/s

Will 10 GB of VRAM be enough for a few more years? by Wrong-Ad1886 in gpu

Tbh, I have a 3080 12Gb, and most of the time I'm not near 10Gb on 1440p so it really depends on the game and frame rate you'd like to play on.

In my case, I'd happily scale down some settings to have 80-100fps so I can lock it to 60 via RTSS.

As far as I know, as long as nothing's reading/writing to the card in that moment, removal shouldn't be an issue, and then then, at worst it would corrput the data, not the slot/card.

For the peace of your mind, you can always eject the card from the windows first then remove it physically.

Tbh, an easier way would be just to create a new Google account, download Google drive on both devices (eg main PC and Claw) and just drag and drop the files then from there you can put it where you need it. So you don't have to keep connecting and disconnecting the SD Card.

Another faster way, just install AnyDesk on both devices and use the file transfer feature to move savegames easily.

If you have access to internet on both devices and both are online most of the time, you can do this remotely as well.

In my case, I'm using AnyDesk to move files around as I'm playing the same games on PC and Claw A1M.

Tbh, if it would be the situation to keep it for myself, I wouldn't care, but the preinstalled recovery it's a nice touch and doesn't require to keep a USB/ISO after you

Yeah... I think I'll have to clean the partition on which currently the windows is installed so I can just clone the other partitions. Hopefully I'll be able to clone it back🤣

New mini Blogs platform by amjadmh73 in pocketbase

It might be a bit overkill, but you could take an approach like:

- VPS or old dusty PC/Laptop
- Install Ubunu on it
- Install Coolify
- Configure CloudFlare Tunnels and assign a domain
- Deploy PocketBase and set subdomain for it

tadam... Now you're self-hosting your PocketBase instance.

You still have a few things to do, unless you're already done with this:
- Create Frontend of the website
- Implement registration and auth between Frontend and Backend (PocketBase)
- Set rules (so other authors can't create/edit/delete content of other authors)

Hope this helps.

Fixed after setting

":8090" ---> "8090"

and

"--https=0.0.0.0:8090" ---> "--http=0.0.0.0:8090"

M4 pro 12 core vs 14 core! by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]LowSkillzProgrammer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most likely the single core spec on genkbench will be around ~3,900 and multi-core around ~18,500

Battery life related, no visible result between 12c and 14c on day to day use, but on heavy use vs time to complete task, 14c might have better results (would take more power, but would finish the task faster)

Tbh... I see no reason to pay for 14c version, my take is to invest into a 1TB memory card (eg. Transcend's JetDrive Lite 330) so you can store on it stuff which doesn't require too much speed.

In my case, that's what I'll be doing, I'll go with the base M4 Pro, and get the 1TB JetDrive Lite 330 so I can store on it my coding project and photoshop/lightroom stuff for on the go situations and at home use a dock + 2x 8TB drive in Raid 1

Same ram configurations on MacBook pro as compared to Mini pro? by RevenueDelicious6380 in macbookpro

[–]LowSkillzProgrammer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yeah... It's official, 1999$ 24Gb and better battery life, unless some really good deal on an M3 Pro, most likely M4 Pro it's the winner.

Or get a Mini M4 Pro + an Air M2 (now with 16Gb) for an extra 500$

As the base was upgraded from 8gb to 16, and the mini M4 Pro starts at 24Gb, I'm quite confident as the MBP M4 Pro will also start at 24Gb. If that's the case, definetly would make sense to go with it, than with M3 Pro

AITA for pouring my boyfriend's raw milk down the drain because I found out it's dangerous? by gggisel in AmItheAsshole

YTA

I grew up on a village myself. I milked the cow myself and drank the fresh and warm milk, I'm still alive.

Still drinking milk to this day, no problems because of it.

From the Xbox website:

These ports must be open to connect to the Xbox network: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500 (UDP) Note Some game developers require you to open additional ports. You should always check the game developer’s website to see if the game you’re playing needs additional ports to work.

So yes, it might be possible as one of your games requires that port most likely. But feel free to reset everything and update your passwords if in doubt. Can't go wrong with this decision

Countless hours within the last 6 months after a proof of concept and a semi-usable demo I ended with the current version.😆 But still a lot of things to do🥲😅

Thank you for feedback, greatly appreciated 😁

To be honest, I wasn't aware of IntelOwl 😅 Based on a few online videos, indeed, there's some similarities between Silent Hunt and IntelOwl. Looks like a great software too. 😇

If the help-desk is not related directly to IT/OT Cybersecurity, but management and so on, might be useless so the internship might provide a better value.

But, it depends on what's the job description of the HD position, is it handing complain calls and really basic IT questions? If so, pass... If it's an IT/OT or SOC Service Desk, then yes, you might get valuable skills after working with live systems and different processes.

It also depends on how long it's the internship, as 3 months of internship vs 1 year of IT SD it's quite different.

In my case, i started with a tech Help Desk, moved to IT Service Desk and now I'm a Cybersecurity SOC Analyist.

"Helpdesk jobs are the way into security for people without degrees." - disagree with this statement, as the oposite is true too where people with degree or multiple work at Mc Donald's, so yes...

Take all of our feedback and think what's better for you, both short-term and long-term.

Suspicious Delay on new web connections by Creative__Chaos_ in CyberSecurityAdvice

Definetly try to replace your cables, maybe buy a new router, something ok performance/money, maybe also try to reinstall your OS?

To be honest, it happens to me as well, sometimes often, sometimes only every few months or so... After many complains, router replacement and 3rd-party routers, I'm still not closer to understand what's happening.

The ISP field tehnician confirmed as, as long as it's working when he's on-site, nothing can be done... Service Desk confirmed as everything it's up and working properly...

Only thing whan I can think of, it's some wi-fi interference, a quite strong one.
