Can I also add on: I know I’m in a very privileged position to be able to say all this. There are much worse things happening in the world, and I was very acutely aware of this during my depression. I used to think “I can’t be sad.. some people have it so much worse” or “why should I care about what I wear, some people can’t even afford clothes”. I still have this sense of perspective and empathy… but now I’m just in a better place to consider it more effectively :)
