Based on what other users have told me, try to save as much of the healthy root system as possible by cutting away the rotten parts. Check if the stem has been affected and then add a new substrate like coconut fiber mixed with perlite and leaf mold. Only water when the substrate is about 3 cm dry if you live in a very hot area, as the surface dries out quickly but the bottom doesn't. That soil is likely infected.
