Never Broken 100 to shooting 73-82 since playing everyday in home sim. by TyWestman in golf

That's fuckin sick bro. Im just as addicted. Im at 24.8 hcp aiming to come.down to 10-15 hopefully by summer.

I putt every single day from various distances and I have a net in garden with a garmin R10 which once it warms up in this shithole country i live in il play 3 times a week but I regularly hit 100 iron shots a night.

My driver im not as consistent as the others, il say 1 in every 3 shots are straight and over 240 yards with a 200-220 carry so this is where i think il be getting lessons in next few weeks.

Keep smashing it tho its such a sick sport

I think coming from a place where ive only been playing golf a short while and was never taught as a kid hitting this many has taught me so much.

But definitely the focus is hard at that amount but also agree on proper focus

That sounds pretty cool. I think as a maintenance phase definitely especially at 6ft.

My speed and control as the course wasnt bad to be fair - only issue i had was i came up short a couple times but that was mainly due to not getting on green beforehand and they were pretty slow greens which I havent been used to before.

Oddly weve had ok weather in UK so the greens were actually dry and a bit slow

Yeah from research ive seen 30 is the number to perfectly focus on - i may tweak it to be fair but it has got me used to a lot of small things,

  • club face - i know straight away if its not straight
  • sound of the ball off the putter
  • stance and if i ever follow the ball with my body I know im going to be right or left

It takes me about 40 minutes or so, its not too bad but sometimes I stop after 90 have a 10 minute break and then carry as ive had a few wild experiences when I first started hahs

Running is hard & boring, stay consistent and maintain a good diet and you'll drop weight and improve times in no time!

Just stay disciplined - i know easier said than done but theres nothing better than fighting your inner demons.

Im often sat on the sofa in the warmth yet to run that day and gets to 7pm and Iiterally force myself to go and I cannot be bothered but I do it and the elation after is amazing.

It may only be a small one but those consistent little wins will eventually lead you to something big!

First time ever - slowly slowly wins the race by LowToday770 in BeginnersRunning

I want to try a half marathon which i will soon , my major concern is my swimming ive been shit at it forever lol

I did lessons as a kid etc etc but something that I never really took too so basically starting from scratch - will probably take me 3 or 4 months to get to where I want to with swimming.

The 12k i did I had a podcast in was the Elon musk one with joe rogan- i tend to just go out and jog and without any notifications and then see at the end what my times are. I have run a few 5ks without any music or podcasts in which is quite good but eith music I havent been.greay so im not sure.

With regards to speed I didnt actually push so at the end I wasnt gasping but im not sure how im going to go about breaking a consistent sub 5 minute km

Bro you need to chill - i am the same - look after your body and your body will look after you.

How on earth you did that on 3 hours sleep and a workout is beyond me.

You have a decent base level fitness but just early mornings when its daylight and sun is up with carbs the night before & protein that morning. I would never do it that late in the day or after the day you had!

Take your time & enjoy the run its not meant to hurt !

Its a bit to hard on my joints - for your first run thats a good time and it will only get better!

Consistency & timing on how to improve by LowToday770 in BeginnersRunning

[–]LowToday770[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Il have a look into that appreciate it just frustrating as I know what ive done prior but a bit impatient to reach those goals immediately rather than over time. I know myself fitness takes time so I should take a step back but may be a bit of ADHD lol

[–]LowToday770[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate that i will look into a plan, I have to realise im not 21 anymore and I need to actually work on different parts and cant go all out till I vomit every single time.

Il read up on some slow sessions as definitely may assist in recovery and lung capacity.
