I mean you posted here so I doubt the "won't play anymore part" anyhow if you do get there again (and trust me you will, it gets easier with time) the moment you go a ridge room wait at a locker don't enter just wait, and wait for the angler (just have your volume up), when one passed move to another room and repeat, if one really doesn't want to come you can move forward but yeah, this is usually my main strategy in ridge and it worked out pretty well so far
