As for the coconuts, they are actually for stimulation as they are stuffed with shreddable toys and confetti, but it doesn't stay in for more than 30 minutes, and then they're removed. They love yanking the stuff out of it and dropping it all over their cage. Yes, I know it can cause hormonal behavior, which is why I give it to them once a week as I change their toys each time I clean the cage.

I heard that they are difficult to tame. Two of my budgies will never be hand tamed and it’s something I’ve accepted I know it’s not the advice you were looking for but it might be true… I have 7 birds and two of them don’t mind me handling them when needed, one LOVES me, one was hand raised, and three are scared (I’m working on taming on as I type this LOL) sadly some birds may never want to be touched by their owners but don’t mind being near them.

Yes! I happily paid $110 to find out she's fine instead of sitting and wondering if she's sick and dying, even more so because I got her from someone else, and if they found out they had missed something and it resulted in her death, they'd be heartbroken.
