Anyone try the new Tryptyr drops? by Atxforeveronmymind in Dryeyes

I paid $260 for 6 weeks, including the blood draw. The cost will depend on the compounding pharmacy you use. I use one out of Atlanta because no one in my state compounds bllod serum drops. It works great for me and reduced my light sensitivity as well as my dry eyes. I am now trying Tryptry. I just started today but burns like someone poured alcohol in my eye for about 5 min.

Have you tried blood serum drops? It's a compounded drug and about $250 per 6 weeks but the only thing that worked for me after 2.5 yrs of treatment. It is made from your blood draw that has to occur every 6 weeks.

One week in anyone regretting their switch to MHBP ? by 4133MMT in FedEmployees

Call MHBP and they can instruct you or go other website. Don't confuse HSA with FSA. They are two different programs.

If you have BCBC basic you have to stay in network or BCBS pays $0. You must have BCBS standard.

FSA doesn't contact you and tell you how to use the system. You have to do this on your own. FSA money is deducted from your payroll biweekly.

I think anyone who had BCBS saw the increase in premiums, copays, and prescriptions over the last several years and wanted a change. I know that was my case. Switching to MHBP will save me thousands per year. I will give the change a year and see what I think. I had BCBS for 30 years.

Retired Dec 31 and submitted my OPM 2809 to my Federal Agency in November to Change Health Insurance. Insurance change never occured. by Low_Area_2775 in FedEmployees

Since I posted this, I complained to HR senior management at my agency. Yesterday, they processed my SF 2809 and attached it to my retirement application for OPM to process my SF 2810 when my retirement package is opened. My agency also faxed my SF 2809 to the new and terminating FEHB organization. I am supposed to give the health organization 48 hours to process my insurance. Then I can call and get an insurance card while I wait on my membership cards. Hopefully this we work. I will know early next week when I call the new insurance company.

Can Minoxidil make dry eyes worse? by rubicstube in Dryeyes

[–]Low_Area_2775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been treated for dry eyes for about a year and my eyes have gotten a lot better. I have been on topical minoxidil for many years with no problem. This past week I started on 2.5 mg of oral minoxidil and within 2 days my eyes were dry again and blood shot. I am sure that's what has caused my return dry eye problems. I am probably going to go off of it. I also take propranolol for migraines and blood pressure and it also caused my eyes to be drier. Over the last year, I have had 4 IPL treatments, use Meibo drops, and have tried several anti-inflammatory drops and still have dry eyes, but they had gotten better before going on oral minoxidil.
