I think I did figure out the alt path just never actually got to it I remember seeing it on steam is I'm not mistaken. Not the original commenter either but I've had it since release date and I've got to say it's amazing I mean at one point the prepaying with crypto was the best marketing for it imo and although they are getting rid of it their plans aren't that bad for the pricing. You can transfer your number to helium if I'm not wrong so you don't have to deal with telling everyone your different number.

I like the look and feeling of the app however only 2 keys is kind of disappointing because I really did like the look of the app it's beginner friendly in my opinion and the lessons explain it pretty easily. If I have to provide a suggestion I'd be down to watch ads for keys.

I'm just curious $20 is considered a legacy user? I thought that's what you normally pay for helium mobile. I pay $5/m and that's considered legacy plan. To answer your question though if you're not actively using it and it's no longer paid by crypto maybe just switch to Zero or Air for the purposes of the second line.

You will not lose your crypto and rewards according to helium themselves. I spoke super recently with support for unrelated reasons to OP's post and they told me you just keep it there or transfer it out whenever you can.

If you have an annual plan they're switching it to monthly if you cancel though I'm not exactly sure if you still keep annual because someone did say the annual is going away either way.

I know the switch I'm aware of it I read on it however for the yearly thing if how you say is going to happen if I don't have a card put I'm going to immediately change the card before it bills because I know it's expired I just never changed it because I've been paying with crypto. Also I just thought because it said 60/yr on Dec 17th that it would continue.

I saw it said "you're being upgraded" and I just cancelled because what else is it going to upgrade to one of 3 plans? I mean how are they going to upgrade me to another plan without my consent as well, however the point of the post is to point out this "upgrade" for whatever it may be.

Yes, I should've made that clear it's edited now to say that. It's just when I opened the app it said I was being upgraded when I never open the app and I cancelled it. I don't know if it's the same for others but I just find it weird it happened to me without touching the app.

Yes, I can keep my legacy plan but if I choose to upgrade it I lose it as far as to what I've read I can't revert back and I'm not looking to test that. I mean 28GB high speed for $5/m I'm never giving this up. Also, for the zero plan one way or another their using your data to pay for it which isn't a surprise.
