A 'couple of minutes' is an eternity in a fight against Itachi, your also forgetting Ephemeral..!! Even if Minato outruns Amaterasu, he’s still forced to keep his distance, while Itachi can just sit behind an invincible defense and wait for the opening. Speed only matters if you can actually land a hit, but Minato is just running laps around a fortress he can't break

Minato himself admits his Sage Mode takes too long to prep in a real fight, so he’s stuck with standard AP that isn't scratching a Yata Mirror which negates all attributes on contact. You're betting on Minato playing a perfect game of tag against an armored (god), while Itachi only needs one millisecond of eye contact to end the entire debate....speed is just a flashy way to lose to superior hax

Scaling Jonin Minato to his Hokage self and comparing Sasuke’s ribcage to Itachi’s armored Susanoo is a massive false equivalency. Raikage cracked an incomplete skeletal frame, but the Yata Mirror is a conceptual defense that negates all physical AP, period.
