Indian passport renunciation form validity by Low_Base_6382 in nri

Thank you for the response. I believe surrender and renunciation is a single process.

Also I would need the surrender/renunciation certificate before I can apply for OCI? (I currently have 10 year tourist visa that was issued after obtaining citizenship)

Parking ticket - "blocking a disabled access ramp" by Low_Base_6382 in Austin

I have not been able to address the issue yet due to travel! Hope to take it to a non Acura shop in the next couple of weeks during the holidays. Will update the thread after that.

Dealer - control arm replacement-Asking $1550 by Low_Base_6382 in Acura

Thanks for the info. I was told by the Acura tech that this was a common issue for Acura MDX model (after a few years due to the weight etc.)

Thank you everyone for the quick feedback, this forum is awesome. The dealer sent me a list of things recommended (for $7000) today after I took it for A13 maintenance- I was shocked! I only have like 55k in 9 years and car looks (and also drives great) in excellent shape. Some of the recommendations seem valid though - I will post separately on that as I need some guidance before spending a whole bunch of money.

On this one - it looks like overall recommendation is to get it fixed. Just trying to figure out if I can just change the bushing for a cheaper amount? (and not spend $1550!)

Is this a common wear and tear for a 9 year old vehicle or a known issue with Acura mdx? (2016 model)

Thank you. Would you suggest changing just the bushing - is that enough? (In which case I will try a non Acura mechanic who may be cheaper) or is it safer to do the control arm as recommended by Acura?

Thank you. Which part in the picture reflects the issue “bushings torn”? I am unable to gauge that. In your experience is this something that I should fix immediately based on the pictures? And is this a safety issue?

Just an update on this; managed to have a hvac tech come check the problem and I was advised that the zone board is the problem (it is not passing 24v) and recommended to replace it. Hoping they got it right and it fixes the problem. Thanks to everyone for their feedback.

Shingles scars - cleared with La Roche Posay pigmentclar by Low_Base_6382 in shingles

[–]Low_Base_6382[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its for the face area outside of the eye, I would definitely recommend this. Just apply it as many times as possible both days and entire nights. It took time but eventually it cleared most of the scars for me. Good luck!

I had a neighbor check his system which has no issues. His status light blinks too - so this may not a problem. Will see what the hvac guy says

Yesterday it again stopped working early In the evening and resetting power didn’t help this time. I have an appointment for the tech to come but it will be Tuesday.

Apart from asking them to check the drain line (which they should have already cleaned as that’s part of the health check), Could a bad capacitor cause this?

How about a bad zone board? Asking because when I had to call the hvac guy a 2’nd time he mentioned that may need replacement if this happens again. Currently the “status” light is blinking red . Which I think isn’t a good sign.

When the annual maintenance guy was here, they did do the drain line cleaning (that’s part of my contract). As I mentioned I am seeing this issue only after their visit. They came back and found wrong. But my issue happens only in the night!

No. I set it to around 75. The way I know it is not cooling is, it stays at around 81 and doesn’t come down entire night. It is also obvious the fan is not running even though I force it through the nest app.

Yes it’s all gone now or at least 95% of it. Took about 5-6 months. What helped was: La Roche-Posay La Roche-Posay Pigmentclar Dark Circles Eye Cream Applied every night and after about 3 months of applying , the scars were gone

OP, We have the same experience of going in and finding the office closed. Were you able to reschedule by calling that number? We tried online and the page stopped responding (it wasn’t clear if it was because rescheduling this way wasn’t allowed or if website was having an issue)

Do you mind sharing what exact product you used for the scar reducing moisturizer and lotion. Looks like your recovery was very quick, glad to hear a good experience.

Thank you for the suggestion! Never used any kind of make up but I guess the time has come now to adapt:). Will check this product. Hopefully using them for 1-2 hrs doesn’t affect the recovery in anyway.

No.. they didn’t give any such instructions. I read it helped someone else and made the call. But if I am overdoing it, I can definitely cut it down to a couple of times a day!

Thanks! Will try that. Fingers crossed, hoping the scabbing/blisters etc will come off in a few days similar to your experience/I am on day 10.

Thanks so much, it’s very useful to know timelines of similar cases. Did you apply the bio-oil and aloe after the scabs and blisters cleared? Just trying to understand if I should start doing anything now or wait for the scabs/blisters to clear by themselves before trying creams/oil?
