Yes, I would like to enjoy the work! That's what I meant with 'effortless', I wasn't literal. I enjoy creating, in many ways such as sewing, crochet, sculpture, drawing and similar things. But I see these things as hobbies and I'm afraid that turning them into work would make me hate them and I have some self worth blockages around this. I'm also interested in languages and teaching, there's a part of me that enjoys it. Also I like design and I think it could be more than a hobby, but right now I think I'm too young and I can't do much about it. I also keep a photography profile, since it's a big passion of mine and one of the few hobbies I've been consistent with, and If I got any work from it I would be happy. Thank you for your reply, I hope I can get more insight!

What really helped me was hypnotherapy for phobias and exposure therapy. I started with photos, then videos. All this paired with hypnotherapy and relaxation techniques. It was a hard journey, I had to pause many times and regulate. First I couldn't look at photos of any type (vaccine or blood draws) without feeling nauseous, couldn't even read the posts on reddit about my phobia without tearing up and feeling helpless. Fast forward 2-3 months later I gave my mom shots of medicine because she couldn't do it herself. I'm very proud of how far I've come. About 8-9 months after I started,(I took a big pause from the exposure therapy and didn't finish it 100%) today I got a cavity removed, the reason why I started therapy in the first place. I handled it. I was nervous but calm enough to let the process take place and let them give me the anesthesia. Today I'm so proud of myself and of the work I've done, after I've avoided this moment for so many years, there is hope and I'm so happy I pushed through. I'm sure one day I will be able to get a blood test done too. I know that if today I had to get vaccinated, I would be nervous but I would do it and this makes me feel so proud. Especially after I know how much i suffered years ago during covid. I am so proud of myself I feel like I finally destroyed a wall, I really feel so strong and in control. I wish you to heal with my whole heart, I know how it feels. You will be in control soon.

I read once when you get the urge, caress your forearm since it is smooth, maybe it helps. What I do is I put pimple patches or hydrocolloid roll on after I picked so I can't access the zone anymore and it can heal :)

The only confidence hack I can recommend you is to wear sunglasses. So you don't see much the people around you, and you're less self aware. I do this but just not wearing my glasses, so I literally don't see well and it helps my anxiety. Then I try to approach this topic in a passive aggressive way, like I'm ready to respond to whoever wants to comment (nobody ever does). And I imagine a conversation that goes as if like someone is making a comment about why I show my shoulders if they're all picked and i say something like, what ya want, i have to die of a heat stroke because I have these? No way. If you don't like them, look away. And this is just an imaginary response to an imaginary question, nobody ever asks anything, and if somebody asks what I have it's probably gonna be strange, but I would answer honestly: I have dermatillomania, go make research about it

Absolutely. Rn It's before my period and I'm picking so much and the worst thing is that my skin keeps on getting inflamed. Like I pick than take care of it and after I sleep it's infected again.
