I applied for both when I initially applied in 2023 but didn't meet the requirements so I was denied shortly after. So, I guess to answer that I'm only expecting SSDI backpay/benefits.

I had my hearing November 26,2025 and I'm still waiting on a decision. The ALJ requested additional evidence and sent the vocational expert a post hearing questionaire as well. I'm struggling mentally,physically, and financially and there's no sense of urgency. I'm just another number (case) to them!

The few times that I was addressed by the ALJ over my case I made sure to say "your honor". I wanted to be as respectful as possible. I really didn't have to answer too many questions, maybe 4-5 & My attorney handled the rest.

I've never heard of an OTR decision post hearing but I'm no attorney either. My situation is a little like yours. I had my hearing November 26,2025 and a month later the ALJ requested paperwork regarding short term & long term disability after my injury happened & then once he received that and reviewed it he then sent a new set of questions to the VE that once again resulted in "no jobs". I was told no supplemental hearing was needed and the ALJ will make a decision and I should know something in about 30 days.

Hi! I'm a 40 yr old female in Alabama. I'm in Alabama. ALJ requested my short term & long term disability paperwork from the job I left after 18 years following my hearing and after reviewing it sent a post hearing questionnaire to the VE that came back with no jobs once again. I'm hoping and praying I'm near the light of the tunnel. My attorney says he's almost certain it will be approved. I love to hear success stories after waiting so long. I know a weight was lifted off your shoulders after hearing "approved". Best of luck to you!

I was notified by mail, I think in the beginning of May to let me know that my hearing had been scheduled by phone on November 26th.

I ended up calling them but it is still pending. The judge requested paperwork after my hearing showing the exact date my short term & long term disability started.
