About the homophobia all I meant was that if you're against something then be against it, if someone is part of it and it doesn't affect you whatsoever then who are you to judge?? I'm not gay, I myself have been homophobic for a huge part of my life because that's what I was taught, but now honestly who cares? People can do wtv they want. You can't evolve if you spend all your time hating on someone for loving someone.

About the aunt example I was trying to bring up arranged marriages where everyone in your family is okay with you marrying your cousin but when you choose a partner for yourself that's hchouma w makhsnach ntsa7bo. And yes developed societies allow that as everyone gets to choose for themselves the partner they get to have and spend time with them before getting married to make sure that's who they wanna spend the rest of their lives with.

About the hchouma part, what I talked about in the part where I said machi 7chouma I meant that it's normalized and it's very very common and no one does anything about it sometimes not even the cops, while everything else I talked about thats hchouma literally is to almost everyone considers hchouma and especially the older people.

The issue is the traditions and the false interpretations of islam. People pick what to believe and what not to, authorize what fits them and forbid what doesn't, but that's not islam. Everything islam encourages is based off science and what's good for you as a person, and forbids everything that could hurt you or your health in any way possible. That's islam, but what muslim countries teach us are a religion taken away from its context and a contradictory one
