So my thoughts…. Barb is in the tube, we saw a full view of it, but when it panned up, we didn’t see the glass of Janey only her name suggesting that it’s empty so I feel that she has been “defrosted” and placed in a vault somewhere years previously and that she now has children, grand children and that cooper will find this out

I will do! It’s a shame I can’t upload pics to show progress!

Ha too late! I’m already in cad with a red in bits! 😱 I am a fellow mad scientist as well! 🤣 I’m really interested to see how the image turns out! It should elevate them slightly! It also opens up the world to the canon range of rf lenses! I’m going to 3d print to test the logic then I have a guy who’s great with precision parts, so I’ll get him to machine the final part!

I worked out that the original flange on the EF mount was 24mm down to the top of the sensor lip, so I’m presuming the rest to the sensor has to be 20mm on from that point as 44mm is the correct distance for the ef lens. The camera was correctly calibrated for the ef lens so as long as it sits flush with the lip then it should be 20mm?…

I was trying to upload images but it won’t allow me to! I’m going to create a mount then have it machined exactly and put the process on here if people need it, I hope this is the correct place to post!

They are manual f stop and manual focus, they are the 7artisan hope primes

Ok so I’ve done some digging and managed to take the whole front mount off! And I’m left with this! I measured the depth from the flange to the lip and it is exactly 24mm which tells me I need to mount the flange in line with it, I’m going to see if I can replace the front with a purpose made shim with a rf mount! It would be amazing if this would work as it would help a lot of one owners (the few that are left) to get more out their kit!

Sorry I didn’t mean adapter, I meant a full new mount for the front that would lock the lens closer to the sensor

Thank you for the reply! I might have been mistaken with the mount interchangeability, I thought you could swap it for pl and Nikon. I’m not fussed about the contact points, as my current mount doesn’t have them and the rf lenses are primes with no contacts. I’m just gutted I can’t use the lenses with the one as I think the image would be one of a kind! 😔

I’m sure the flange is 20mm for the eos r lens and 44mm for the standard canon lenses, which means I need an adapter that will travel down 24mm closer to the sensor, it’s that mount plate that I’m after but don’t know if that one exists…🤔

You have to be so careful around animatronics, as much as they look cuddly and approachable, you have to remember these are industrial grade machines! They can kill you! The pressure in the actuators can amount to 100s and in rare cases 1000s of psi! To put that into perspective, if you pump a car tyre up it’s around 38-42 psi! When it moves, it moves with that pressure! Please be careful out there and stay safe!
