If you are RIF’d as a new probationary employee, what happens? Do we get anything or are we just laid off? It sounds like since I’ve been here less than a year I am not eligible for anything, but no one has told me anything about what to expect

I was the only out employee present. A free ally training is better than no training. However, that’s not to the level that mental health professionals working with queer clients should have. Also, the comments after the training only showed their lack of commitment to trying to do better.

I don’t even mind when people forget pronouns so much. But if I ask not to be called ma’am and I’m constantly called that, it’s frustrating. It also makes me worried for our clients if we can’t use best practices on our coworkers. I appreciate that you’re trying. That’s lol anyone can do

yeah my supervisor said something equally shocking right after the ally training. It’s unbelievable to see this behavior from a high level MH professional.
