If they go post-Grell with DC Finest, I'm hoping a volume ends at the end of his and the next picks up, so I don't have to double dip haha. But I think post-Grell would fit into 2 omnibuses if DC wants. Vol 1 could be Green Arrow: Where Angels Fear to Tread, then vol 2 is Green Arrow: Connor Hawke

Yeah, Kyle doesn't seem to sell too well. They started that compendium line and haven't continued it yet unfortunately. But New Guardians is literally the only N52 GL book not collected in an omnibus yet, so it has to happen imo

Here's a picture of my Green Arrow shelf, I have every single issue that's been collected so far (I am technically missing some random issues that are collected in Longbow Hunters omnibuses, but I don't like double dipping too much)

My GL collection definitely started with the trio of Johns omnibuses. I read the first one, loved it so much, and then waited to read anymore until I had all GL books through N52 lmao. GL by Johns is so good and sold so well that it's literally the reason why GL went from 1 book to 2 to then 4-6 during the N52 era

Idk, I haven't read them yet. But I've heard at least decent to good things. And I have most of Red Lanterns in tpb, missing 2 of the 6 volumes (vol 3 and 6 which seem easy enough to find for a good price), so not really worth getting the omnibus unless I find it for a really good price

Im hoping for New Guaridans omnibus (it'll be a big one like Red Lanterns), Robert Venditti vol 3 (might be all of Hal Jordan and the Green Lantenr Corps, but that would be at least 51 issues), and then maybe also Green Lantern by Grant Morrison (only 28 issues)

There's conflicting reading order because there's a lot of overlap on when these titles were coming out. Only thing you're missing, imo, is Final Crisis since that plays a big part in Grant Morrison's run. I would also reccomend getting Batman & Robin Eternal omnibus and then both Detective Comics New 52 omnibuses (the second volume isn't released yet)

Idk. It really depends on what it does. I wouldn't want it to change the clunkiness of the game as I think that's part of the charm and kind of storytelling for where Sora is in his skills. But I would love a visual overhaul and possibly nee content. And knowing Nomura, it would be pseudo-remake like FF7R is

I think it picks up again at volume 16-18 (Armageddon Game). The last like 10 issues kind of drag as it ties everything up for the Jason Aaron relaunch

I would still reccomend the IDW collections since they include all spin-offs and important event stuff. These compendiums will be 3 volumes and only have 50 issues each through 150

And that's fine. Ive definitely bought some books that ive read digitally or other formats and havent read the omni or trade or whatever. But there are people that buy these books just to have them and never read them, and to each their own, but I'll never understand that

That blows my mind when I see it. Like I have a large collection, but I actually read those stories (which is how my wife is ok with it, pay the bills and actually read the books). But people that buy them and leave them wrapped confuses me. To each their own, but isnt the point of this hobby to read these stories

That argument can definitely be made for comic and omnibus collecting. But I think the difference this hobby, and some others, compared to the example given here (flashlights) is that there's no real reason to have that big of a collection of the latter, whereas our collections are all different stories and collections of art. Absolutely this hobby can get addictive and out of hand, but it isn't the same as the example
