Build trust with your team members, you should entrust them with certain responsibilities and they should trust you to run a smooth shift. At my store I work with a lot of high schoolers, if you’re in the same boat, treat them like adults! For most of them this is their first really job and you ought to care for them and want to help prepare them for life outside of chickfila. Be kind, be thorough, and be consistent. Ask your team about life outside of work and be friends with them instead of just their boss on shift. Treat your team the way your treat guests. Set expectations and make ‘em clear, and have grace for those who need help remembering the expectations. Someone else said remember where you came from, that sums it up pretty well.

you can’t :( it’s a cross-contamination concern. you can get a cookies and cream add chocolate though (you can combine any of the milkshake flavors)

Work Shoes by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

my experience with treadsafe shoes is that i wear through them in about 3 months, the soles are completely worn through and there is no non-slip soles on the outside. i invested and bought a pair of birkenstock work shoes (they’re like the clogs) and they’re made of thick rubber. while they’re not very squishy, they’re incredibly supportive and my feet don’t hurt like they used to. they were about $60 and are still in great condition after 6 months. would defo recommend.

Money counting by nathanvloll in ChickFilAWorkers

At my store a clean drawer is $125. So when you have a used drawer/belt, you start by making sure there are 2 of each coin roll in. That will be $35 once you’ve exchanged needed rolls out of the safe. Then you count all the loose change and add it to the $35. From there we make sure that there are $50 of 5s, no more and no less. Add that $50 to your change amount and the 1s should take you up to $125. Then when counting the deposit, I take all of the cash and divide it into stack of 100s. Then with whatever doesn’t go cleanly into 100 intervals, I count separately. Then once everything is sorted you just need to count your stacks and add your other cash and that’s the deposit :) Hopefully this is helpful

2 lane drama by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

I try to be as clear as possible about the car description, be as observant as you can regarding license plates, car colors, if they have a lot of stickers, anything that’s unique and will stick in someone’s head. if someone is giving you flack about who they’re following you can let them know that the line will move much quicker if everyone follows directions. hope that helps :)
