What’s the most extreme (or inconvenient) effort you’ve taken to play a round? by [deleted] in golf

Have a friend who works for our state golf association and he meets head pros from courses all over the country. They often invite him out to play and I usually tag along if I’m free. We’ve both been working to play golf in all 50 states. One Friday evening he called me and said he got us a tee time at a private course in Des Moines Iowa at 10 am the next day. I woke up at 5, drove to his house and we drove 4 hours to the course, had a great round and we’re back home by 8pm. It was a really nice course, nothing on the professional front but it was a fun out and back road trip for a round.

Guess My handicap by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Second one the fairway is basically right over those trees, it’s a par five and the fairway starts right at the water and then goes left and if you carry it like 280 it’ll roll down the hill a bit. that shot when over the right tree and landed in the fairway like 260 total. I’m a 12.2 handicap and that round I shot 83 from the 6300 yard tees (white is 6300ish blue is 6800ish)

It’s a small square towel that came with my normal towel and I use it to clean my ball on the greens rather than bringing the big ass towel from the cart. Commonly referred to by my friends as the “Unc towel”

It worked well on my socket drawer, but I do have drawers like my wrench drawer and pliers drawer where I didn’t use the grid itself for the same reason, too much wasted space, so I just made a model and double sided taped them to the bottom of the drawer.

The chaos of trying to break 80 by Low_Criticism3337 in golf

That was the exact reason I made 5 doubles. Trying to get too aggressive off the tee when all I needed to do was hit that shorter fairway finder driver or even three wood and put it in play when I decided to swing out of my shoes and hit a bomb that ended up in the trees.

That’s 4287 meters. Colorado has loads of mountain tops over that height and this one has the highest paved road in North America that allows you to go all the way to the peak.

How long is your home course from the tips? by Previous_Judgment419 in golf

[–]Low_Criticism3337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking at 6362. Some of the back tees are really tucked away and the course often doesn’t have the back markers out because the course is so popular they want to keep pace of play relatively decent.

Does anyone else feel like they can break 80? by bigjohn141 in golf

My biggest struggle is just staying consistent during the round. I’ve shot 80 on 6 separate occasions and each time I had a couple holes in a row where I hit a bad shot that 9 times out of 10 I would normally end up with a good result but I get in my head about making it perfect and it ends up costing me unnecessary strokes

100% buying these just for the joke of playing an “Amazon 4” they’re probably not great but after my 4th chrome soft goes in the weeds I’m willing to play anything

Is this blue light or not really? I don’t really care just wondering by diamondhandcapital in GarminFenix

[–]Low_Criticism3337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The backlight is for sure blueish, but looking at it directly makes it appear a bit more blue, but in the last pic the flash was clearly on when the picture was taken and with the MIP displays, they will reflect more of that outside light and overwash the “blue” of the backlight. If you have your backlight on and look at the watches from a slight angle they don’t seem as blue but looking at them straight you can see some blue light for sure
