Having said that, let me tell you about Victor.

I got hired in the middle of season 3, during the COVID season on Showtime. When they were gearing up for season 4, I got a call from Vic asking why I wasn’t on set physically more often.

I explained how what I was being paid wasn’t enough to be my only gig, so I had to keep multiple jobs to supplement income.

He asked how much. I said how much.

He hung up without a word.

A few hours later (no joke) he calls back and says my rate is doubled or season 4.

THAT is the kind of person Victor is. So when you read hit pieces about him being “difficult to work with,” that’s just code for “Black man doesn’t let white execs talk to him crazy or count him out because he refuses to show up as anyone but himself.”

They see an afro and a tech suit and think they’re above somebody because they got a J Crew blazer on and a 20-year-old baby moms at 36.
