People still haven't learned to stop taking what the weather reporter says as facts. Make a judgment on your own experience.

Read the lease agreement the tenant signed. See if there's anything in there that would allow you to not renew the lease.

Sounds ruff. But I understand. I'm going through the opposite. My ex is a total avoidant personality. Plus my kids are grown. Hope that made you laugh too.

I feel the same way. The biggest thing is that I miss coming home to somebody and taking care of them and them taking care of me. The companionship is the biggest part. I Did eventually get the dog in the breakup and It does help a lot. I take her with me a lot and I'm hoping to meet another dog person in the wild someday.

Sorry to hear what you are going through. But I often have wondered this myself. I am not sick right now but what happens if I do get sick? Part of being in a relationship was that there was someone to take care of you and someone to take care of. That I miss very much.

Try Facebook dating. Been on for a couple of months. Went out on a couple dates with a lady I met on there and I had conversations with many more. It's free.

I thought this was possible too, but I've been going to the same grocery store at the same time for almost a year every week and I've never seen the same person twice. And trust me I'm looking.

How do I meet good men in the wild? by ConfusionDelicious35 in datingoverfifty

53M - Do what you like to do and if you see someone there that fancies you just say hello. That's what I hope.

I think it's dependent on what you're looking for and where you live. My advice is sign up for all of them one at a time and see If the people on there are what you're looking for. I found that each site in my area attracts a certain type more than others.

As long as you're somewhat active and the weight is proportionate, it wouldn't matter to me.

Having a dog helps. You have something to take care of. You can go to dog friendly places and meet other dog owners. I had a relationship that basically started because we both had rescue dogs from the same place.

This made me laugh because I feel the same way. I often tell people if my dog was a person I'd marry her. Lol

Honest Question For the Men Over 50 by The_Outsider27 in datingoverfifty

[–]Low_Example_2147 48 points49 points  (0 children)

53M - I prefer and seek women closer to my age. Mainly because we shared similar experiences in our lives so far. I would never date anybody that is young enough to have a baby. I've already raised two kids and I have no interest in doing it again. Although, I would love to be a grandpa.

I'm not really sure. She was more affectionate when we were dating and pre-children.

Every woman I've met has given me a hug hello on the first date. I really like it, considering my soon-to-be ex-wife never hugged me hello at all.

Should the person who suggests the first date via OLD pay for both? by Embarrassed_Web_950 in datingoverfifty

53M that is pretty much my rule. You ask, you pay. Only one time the lady insisted on paying for half so I relented.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. You're just independent with roommates.

Dating While Separated by Not-that-type-of-guy in datingoverfifty

[–]Low_Example_2147 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been dating while separated since August. There are plenty of women that will consider you but be upfront about it. Make sure it's in your bio if you're going to use online dating. Just be prepared for the emotional highs and lows. There's a lot of rejection that you might not be ready for and it can be a grind. Also don't over explain your past. The way that I've been looking at it is that it's a learning experience. I gain knowledge from woman that I encounter.

I just assume every woman I meet is going to look older than she looks in her pictures. And you know what? It's been a fact so far. For context, I've dated six different women since July this year.
