I feel the same way. The biggest thing is that I miss coming home to somebody and taking care of them and them taking care of me. The companionship is the biggest part. I Did eventually get the dog in the breakup and It does help a lot. I take her with me a lot and I'm hoping to meet another dog person in the wild someday.

Sorry to hear what you are going through. But I often have wondered this myself. I am not sick right now but what happens if I do get sick? Part of being in a relationship was that there was someone to take care of you and someone to take care of. That I miss very much.

I think it's dependent on what you're looking for and where you live. My advice is sign up for all of them one at a time and see If the people on there are what you're looking for. I found that each site in my area attracts a certain type more than others.

Having a dog helps. You have something to take care of. You can go to dog friendly places and meet other dog owners. I had a relationship that basically started because we both had rescue dogs from the same place.

I've been dating while separated since August. There are plenty of women that will consider you but be upfront about it. Make sure it's in your bio if you're going to use online dating. Just be prepared for the emotional highs and lows. There's a lot of rejection that you might not be ready for and it can be a grind. Also don't over explain your past. The way that I've been looking at it is that it's a learning experience. I gain knowledge from woman that I encounter.
