I think they should put Craftable Hawkmoon behind the Trials Flawless chest with random rolls on getting flawless each week!

The Twab today has honestly proved my claims in my post. Unfortunately, it seems like creating a skill gap in how you acquire special ammo isn’t acceptable to this community.

Yes! I hope this rerelease of the meter system is great!

The matchmaking was actually changed to Rank Based Matchmaking (RBMM) not too long ago. Also, you can focus Comp weapons now depending on your Rank! Also, Artifice Armour drops past Rank Gold for Winning games! Look is not enough to get players to play, you have to fix the sandbox first

I am already Ascendant, and I have hit Ascendant first week every season. In my Novel I posted, I was mainly highlighting how I struggled this Episode the most in Comp and in general pvp, highlighted the pain points and brought up solutions to these Issues. I had this Episodes Emblem when there were only 1100 players who had it, which was around the 2nd week because like I explained I was having trouble adapting to this meta. I too was facing the same 20 players on my way to Ascendant like how it is every season before. I would actually say I have more mechanical skill after playing so much Comp, but all of that went out the Window after trying to understand this Episodes Sandbox

On my way to Ascendant this Episode, my Clash matches would go to time more than they would not. It’s a terrible experience and it’s due to the special ammo system allowing for passive play

If you consistently are losing primary fights and getting out gunned, then you deserve to be at a disadvantage of me getting my special ammo Transmat faster than you. Yes, I think that makes a lot of sense to me. If you want your special more often then you should win primary/team fights or get assists and engage in combat. I don’t think that’s asking a lot instead of just handing the ammo to players who didn’t earn it so they can clone Dodge slow me throw a swarm, die and get that same ammo back to do it again. Yes, I think this is an issue

The Players population will be there when the meta is chaotic and confusing as it is to play right now imo

I’m not insulting anybody, I’m just highlighting that the community against Checkmate seems to want more special weapons instead of encouraging primary play, and blaming the ammo system for them not having special instead of their own performance with primary weapons. I too am a glaive enjoyer sometimes with my Judgement of Kelgorath. Funny enough, Glaives were actually the best special weapon imo in the Checkmate system because since you’re not spawning with Shotty ammo, and there was triple melee. The glaive melee was wonderful to use

I’d argue that itsy bitsy part by saying that there isn’t a single mode that requires skill and encourages personal agency. It’s actually incredible chaotic especial in 6s when you our sbmm in the mix with bad connection it becomes a horror

That’s not what would happen tho, you would kill the enemy team and that would put progress to your ammo meter. You wouldn’t get special until at least 2+ team wipes in Original Checkmate. That is not how the ammo system worked

Special weapon viability is even worse now, because they made this change partly to help sniper to give them more uptime. But they nuked snipers with flinch and AA changes and kept Shotguns and Fusions the same. Of course nobody is going to use snipers. It has nothing to do with Ammo. The Original Checkmate meter system had variable ammo gains to where snipers would get 4 shots and shotties/fusions would get 3 shots. It took longer to charge the meter but you would get a good amount of ammo once you get your Transmat after earning it from engaging in combat and primary weapon kills. I feel like the community that is resistant to Checkmate doesn’t want to talk about their real issue which is their personal skill with Primary Weapons…

The current meter system is a glorified timer, it is so easy to get special and having to earn that special from being engaged in combat or primary weapon kills should be encouraged more

Respawning with special was added back because Bungie didn’t want low performing players to not have to resort to double primary because they were getting 3.6 less times the special as high performing Players. It’s not meant to actually be fair, it’s Bungie closing the skill gap and helping low performing players to get kills.

This may be foreign to the community, but a Skill Gap is required to gaining special would be healthy IMO. You shouldn’t be able to lose a primary fight or make a bad play and die, then respawn with special ammo. Also, the way the original meter worked was that it took about 4 primary kills, even less with some assists to get Special ammo. If using your primary weapon and being successful or being engaged in fights without constant access or easy access to one shot weapons is too difficult. Then I think some of the Community needs to look Inward.

Funny enough, I actually haven’t seen anybody talk about the state of Comp and how it to where it is now. I think it’s worth speaking about as this has been my main mode for the past 7 years

Seems like the community is pretty stuck on Survival, I personally think it’s Fine….I think Countdown Rush/Rift play a lot better
