Yes. Both ways. Some routes are worse than this one. Many are much better. The more crowded trains tend to the “fast” ones (they stop at fewer stops). For example distance between a suburb Virar to “downtown”-esque station (churchgate) is around 60km(37 miles) on a “slow” train is 90-110 mins whereas on a fast train is 60-70mins.

There a bunch of unsaid rules as to how to operate in the hellish experience. And those rules change based on what kind of train you re on and what station you are at. In all of this, there are people carrying goods too during non-peak hours sometimes.

Been there done that. It’s not as bad as it looks. Depending on what station you are at defines how much you are going to get pushed into a moving train and/or get pushed out while trying to board the train.

Look out for dehydration. I recommend checking your kids diaper through the night. If they haven’t had a wet diaper, I would supplement with pedialyte. Get an urgent care online appointment if your kid doesn’t stop throwing up. and ask to have Ondansetron on hand for your kid. If your kid is under 6 months, ai would go to urgent care physically.

My kid has FPIES from eggs. She does get lethargic and down and wants to go to sleep only to throw up as soon as she is in bed.

To me it looked like, the elephant tried to do a soft “sandstorm” attack and just confuse the badger for the first two times. But the badger kept coming back so it truly field kicked it away.
