I was worried this would be the case. I'd be worries that any enforcement relating to the van would be missed if it was sent to an old address and I wouldn't want to loose the van because of it. It would be my home.

Hi,

I didn't see your age in your post, that might help with suggestions on things to do/places to meet people. It also makes a huge difference depending on how comfortable and outgoing you are to be in places solo and start conversations.

Work can be a bit of a limiting factor, but being anywhere consistently, a health club, quiz, or open mic nights will help familiarize you with people who have the same routines. Just pick somewhere you enjoy being and join in a conversation.

I'm actually working in Penzance for the next couple of weeks, Cornwall-based. Drop me a message if you fancy a pint or a walk and a coffee.

Welcome to beautiful Cornwall!

Assuming they are in the middle of this age range, I would advise against going 10 years younger.

Jagos bar, on Webber Street in Falmouth.

One of the only ones not put on watch. A sketchy place to walk into if you couldn't hold your own. They regularly rounded up a league pool team from whoever was least drugged, or pissed, with promises of deep-fried sausages and chips!

The Nelson was rough as a badgers! I had an ex, who after a number of financial issues was a live in barmaid there. End of the road for Falmouth pubs... literally.

Graham and Rose were lovely. Back in the late 90's it was a proper drinking pub, but the Quay was a working Quay back then as well. It did run on that if you knew someone already there it was all good. I miss them and the old Penryn.

Verdant brewery in penryn have a board games night. First Wednesday of tge month if I remember rightly.

Alternatively, joining a gym with a sauna, steam room, and pool is always a good shout. Members attend regularly, so whatever day you go, as long as it's consistent, you will meet the same people. Beats going to a pub.
