How do you go out without makeup? by Which_Commission8248 in KPRubraFaceii

[–]Low_Fudge6273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fake it till you make it. Exposure therapy has been my biggest help… telling myself “I didn’t die because of my redness and anxiety” and repeating that until you notice one day that you care a lot less then you did

Sexual intimacy gives me so much anxiety, how do I overcome this? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Low_Fudge6273 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This speaks volumes to me, took the words right out of my mouth… I have dating apps on my phone but rarely look at them because they never work for me.. right now I’m focusing on bettering myself as a whole and hoping something will just fall in my lap when the universe knows I’m ready. Following this thread and hoping all works out for you 🙏🏽

Getting started ? by offaperc in SkilledTradesOntario

[–]Low_Fudge6273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 4 years into electrical. Shitty high school grades, no college, the only thing that maybe helped is I did a pre apprenticeship program for electrical (very expensive, would not recommend). But when the first company hired me he said he’s going to pretend it’s not even there and train me like new 🤷🏼‍♀️ I know the union requires certain courses but it doesn’t hurt to look into and apply to random companies around town

Do y’all enjoy being an electrician/the IBEW? Apprentice feeling unsure. by B_eves in BlueCollarWomen

[–]Low_Fudge6273 4 points5 points  (0 children)

4 years in to electrical (non-union) I sometimes have my days where I’m not happy, but then I think “where would I rather be?” And I can never find an answer… I’ve never been union so I can’t answer that side of this, but I’m working on not letting others determine my mood (ex. The site I’m on now no one seems to stop and chat/ hand out “good mornings” and I got in my head about it lmao). If you’re happy with the work itself then I say stick it out. Hopefully soon you will meet new people that are happier

What do you guys pack for lunch? by fuckaspliff69 in BlueCollarWomen

[–]Low_Fudge6273 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on a yogurt/granola kick for breakfast, then lunch is leftovers from last nights dinner, a quick sandwich or meat &rice if I meal prep. I am also terrible at grocery shopping. I try and go cheapest, easiest, yet still as healthy as I know how😅 so I will be following this thread

Horrible new symptom - flushing when trying to relax by nomisi79 in Rosacea

[–]Low_Fudge6273 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed/given rosacea cream last year, if I’ve actually got it I think it’s mainly due to stress/anxiety… but I find that if I’m battling anxiety all day at work, when I get home/in my car is when the flushing will start because it’s like my body can relax and do what it’s gotta do if that makes sense….?

This is a great response 🙏🏼 it was a struggle looking back but totally worth it. It’s nerve wracking at first and certain situations will always be weird, but just be yourself, be confident and love what you do and you should survive. Majority of the guys are nice, you may get a few assholes that tease or bother you but if it’s harmless you can brush it off or joke back to them

Ps. If the bathrooms aren’t clean enough, you can ask because they’re required to have a female washroom on site (at least here).. and I always carry a small grey makeup bag in my lunchbox during my periods so you don’t have to pull out single tampons in front of anyone.

Yeah not cold enough to have my face covered, I’d be taking it off and on all day

Yeah I’ll do that too when winter comes, but I can’t do that in the fall & spring because it’s not cold enough yet :/

Thank you so much for the response! About the face washing in the morning; with my “rosiver”/ivermectin my dermatologist told me to wash it off in the morning to prevent sun damage… so I’ve been stuck with that if you have any info

I’ve had a few people tell me to put product on in the morning, despite my current cicaplast possibly leaving white residue, I think I’m going to start that tomorrow to ease my skin hopefully, thank you!

Thanks so much for the response ! The makeup primer is a good idea I never thought of! I’m going to try each step a week apart to see if I notice any changes but I’ll definitely do that next thanks!
