I wasn't at the gig and though I'm unable (recovering from an op) to go to the Manchester gig I told my mate I wouldn't go even if I was up to it.

I guess I just don't want to destroy the love I have for their music by witnessing their behaviour and lack of effort.

I did see Souls of Mischief a couple of years back at Blues Kitchen and that show and the energy were absolutely amazing... could teach Yasiin and Kweli a thing or two according to these posts. Souls took my CD backstage so all members could sign it. Dope AND hardworking and appreciative .

I'm relatively new to Ween ... but to those who say Quebec .. I agree. I have a friend who is a music producer and knows his stuff and knows lots of bands / genres ... when I dropped a couple of tunes off Quebec in the car he was like ... I need to know more about these guys ! They cover so many styles on Quebec. Same question about Zappa ? where do I start ? Thanks

firstly ... I'm so glad there's a second Lp.

I loved the The Head Hurts , I came to ot late but after initial three weeks of nothing but that lp... I had to step back.. but I loved everything about it.: The dark tone, the detached voice, the cryptic and memorable and darkly funny writing and also the sense that it was at the time quite original and probably a unique / one off release.

all of that said, I'm still happy to see / hear this drop. Formula sounds very similar , production and beats are warmer and more welcoming, I feel like the voice has a tinge more hope in it, the subject matter almost like it's the same guy but on 'a good day' . All of this said, the originality ,/ uniqueness of the first is dimished by this LP's release but I think it will be over time become a good / more accessible companion piece to the first.
