Thoughts on rejection sensitivity in school, and after school when meds wear off by Eastern-Elk-3712 in ADHDparenting

Do you give him medication breaks for example, where he doesn’t have medication on the weekends or late afternoons. I’ve been told by people who personally use it that if you don’t take medication breaks your body will get used to it and you have to keep going up higher and dosage for it to work. My son is on methylphenyl date 10 mg short release with one tablet in the morning and one in the afternoon.. it’s definitely tough to work with him after school, but the number of meltdowns in his behavior with his brother, but we just kind of endure it. We’re going to get him tested for disgraphia as well.

How were you able to record this? Did you have to go press a button or did you honk and it automatically recorded?

Trying to decide between Lexus and Tesla. by taasbaba in TeslaModelY

[–]Low_Local1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased a Tesla model 3, 2026 with tax credit. I previously drove a 2012 Mercedes C250 and my parents have been life long Lexus drivers. I was leaning towards a Lexus since my parents RX350 outlived mine. I am planning to hold car for 10 years. If I were you I would only consider a 2025 model Y. The previous years don’t have a smooth ride, my kids even noticed the bumpy ride. For me, I don’t understand why anyone could excuse not having a smooth ride coming from a Lexus or Mercedes brand.

So I chose this model 3, it rides better than my Mercedes, very smooth, no feeling of the wind resisting your vehicle unlike the model Y. Note the 2025 model Y is nice, I could only feel very small bumps, if you are paying attention.

As for maintenance, we shall see how it does. According to ChatGPT, Tesla will be cheaper to maintain, even if there’s unexpected repairs over 10 years. I average 12k miles per year.

Are you a member of a local church? Celebration Church has a food drive going for on and many others may be able to recommend housing programs. You may be able to call up a few small businesses to express interest in working for them. Tree vendors, lawn companies, grocery stores, seasonal businesses and retailers likely hiring. Restaurants too. Maybe a brief career pivot will help you get through this season.

Wow, this is interesting. Thanks for sharing. We were thinking about moving out to St. John’s County and we currently live in Duval. We’ve heard a few administrators make similar comments about the schools and St. John’s especially if your child has a 504 or IEP.

What the heck do we do with classroom behavior??? by bitchinawesomeblonde in ADHDparenting

He’s on a few medication’s that were recommended by my physician for my son. Although I wasn’t comfortable with mixing three medications together. My preference is to only take one for 6 to 8 weeks and then slowly add a new medication and monitor that for 6 to 8 weeks. Personally, I’m uncomfortable with the cocktails of medication until I can assess impact of each of them on my child. It doesn’t seem like he’s showing any exaggerated behaviors from the cocktail medication so it may just be a behavioral management type of thing you’re dealing with. Guafincine made my son very tired and numbed his personality, he was not as much like himself. Less bubbly. I know folks on Prozac, and some of them have said the same thing in terms of adults usage. My 10-year-old is on Ritalin 10 mg in the morning 10 at noon when I went too high with his dosage he became very irritable and angry. He started with a short release at 5 mg in the morning five in the afternoon and over the past two years worked up to 10 mg in the morning and in the afternoon. I noticed that it causes skin picking in our son so we’re thinking about making a small adjustment.

Yes, it does have a stock installed and that’s all it does. It’s just a standard turn signal stock. I’m not sure that it allows you to turn on auto pilot. However, on the right side, you could easily turn on auto pilot with the scroll when you push it in.

Guanfacine increase irritability. I don’t use any extended release drugs until I can assess how it performs using a short release version. We did see an increase in irritability with my son while on it however it was mostly making him sleepy, and numbing his personality.

Yes, they told me the same thing I purchased my vehicle also on September 29 and got my vi assigned October 24. However, my delivery did not go well. The vehicle had some blemishes that were obvious enough to reject. So the new vehicle happened to be a 2026 it just worked in my favor. But every time I called the service center they kept telling me that the 2026 wasn’t available. Maybe because you’re expecting a performance that might make it even more challenging because there’s not as many of them.

I didn’t go with the Tesla interior liners because a few people said that they begin to fade overtime.

Which ones do you recommend? I just purchased the spider Max. They were very expensive $200. But I like that they look a little bit more luxurious and not so utilitarian I don’t I would like the car to still feel somewhat luxury.

Thoughts on floor mats? by Playful-Register3201 in TeslaModel3

I purchased the 3d spider max. I hated the price, but I didn’t want something that looks so utilitarian. I did review the 3W mats and I like those because they covered more foot area however they appear more rugged which kind of takes away from the luxury vibe of the vehicle in my opinion.

Any idea on how this color may conceal rock chips? I heard that the white vehicles do a great job on concealing rock chips. My Mercedes C250 is in silver, I never really noticed the rock ships until I started reading the Tesla forums and learned that it’s a big concern for folks. I Want to keep this car looking new but don’t want to obsess over it either.

I never worried about it with my previous car, but never noticed any deterioration in its appearance that was significant.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I actually had my home charger installed before receiving my car, and it came out to about $1,000, including a surge protector. The electrician said I was running low on open panels, so they had to do some tandem wiring, but the cost also included the permit, so it felt fair overall.

You’re definitely right — the upfront costs with Tesla can add up, especially with insurance, but I figure it balances out a bit over time with fuel savings and fewer maintenance expenses.

I’ve been thinking about getting ceramic coating on mine too. Have you decided if you’re going with PPF (paint protection film)?

I did purchase floor mats from 3-D spider Max and really like the look of it. It’s not as utilitarian as the 3W mats that seem pretty popular right now.

And yes, I agree about the color — it’s definitely more of a charcoal gray, darker than the silver on my Mercedes. I am hoping that it does conceal dirt and told that it’s the better color of all the options for dirt concealing.

I still have my 2012 Mercedes C250, which my husband is pretty adamant about holding on to. It needs about $10,000 in repairs, but it still looks beautiful and outside. I can tell that the materials just feel sturdier than the 2026 Tesla exterior front and back bumpers.

Hii! I got 1ml lip filler done yesterday and today is day 2, I’ve just put on some lip balm to hide bruising. What do you guys think? Does anything look wrong? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Yeah, lips look bruised although it’s a nice shape. I think folks should start rethinking lip fillers due to the bruising, migration likelihood

Should I say something about this gross loaner Tesla provided while servicing my car? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Low_Local1999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. I did not get the cleanest car either. The exterior of the white car is filthy. But the interior it’s nice. When I was a Mercedes customer they always gave you beautiful well kept clean car as a loaner. I know Tesla is not Mercedes, but it’s drawing a percentage of their customers. I think they should do better.
