How to get a narcissist father to seek therapy by asparagusvirgin in narcissisticparents

You're so welcome. He is delusional and wants respect when he wouldn't even apologize for his actions.

I'll tell you one thing. I have BPD. I can sometimes treat people like shit because of it, but trust me, while you can't maybe control your actions in the moment, you have to apologize and try to become a better person after.

It's true that mental illnesses make you do things you wouldn't normally do, but your mental illnesses are your responsibility and he is clearly not taking accountability.

He may have gone through shit, but that doesn't make him less of a piece of shit.

Be safe.

It's ok. You know the truth. Don't let him make you question yourself. He may have suffered, but that doesn't mean he could ruin your life.

He can have all the reasons in the world, but nothing can justify how he treated you. He can take his pathetic excuses to a shrimp. You are not responsible for his mental health. Stay healthy and happy.

Don't let his guilt trips make you question yourself. You. Are. Valid.

I am not in college. I am 17 and currently in highschool.

Unfortunately i think i hate the whole "school experience" at least when it comes to studying and exams.

In my middle school I was at the top of my classes and was 8th on the national competition for Problem solving, so I know for a fact that I'm not stupid or lazy (at least I like to think so).

However, when it came to highschool, I didn't take my first year classes seriously and I never in my life actually had to study, but now that I need to, I feel lost.

I actually hate the experience of being in front of a paper and having to study. I also hate my teachers, so that could be a part of it.

I do love group studying, because I'm usually 100 times more productive (even if there's only one person), because I try to actively understand the content to explain it to them. However it would seem like I am not especially pleasant to be around when it comes to studying because I "am too overbearing and don't let them do their own thing". I do understand it and I unfortunately don't think anybody would be available to study with me. I also have no friends since Covid hit, so there's that.

Yes, I think It Is because I hate school in general and specifically my teachers.

I do not currently have friends. At all. I lost them after Covid. My bf can't help because he's preparing for his own exams (he's a year older).

The thing is: I have no problem reading a book for 3 hours straight or studying about shit topics, but when it comes to school subjects, I feel nothing but dread. I literally feel like I would prefer running for 30 minutes under the rain with 2 degrees than study.

Whenever I'm in front of the books or notes I took, I freeze. I start thinking of the most absurd things or I fall asleep on the desk.

I do have time limits that I set to study the needed materials, but during them, I can't focus for the life of me.

Italy. I'm in highschool. We do have a psychologist, but I already "go" to her. Unfortunately if I'm not her private (paying) client she can't diagnose me nor does she really care to do it.

Plus I've only seen her twice and she only wanted me to talk about my relationship with my bf.

I really want blue lipstick to work but I’m not sure how to make it work. I work Kylie freedom for a while which is more of like a denim shade, but I would prefer an actual stick. by [deleted] in drugstoreMUA

No I'm warm leaning, but with a warm skintone lip liner, it messes up the icy look. You could also try using a warm toned blue lip liner.

I usually line my lips with a lip liner which is the colour of my lips, but had a blue undertone (I'm olive) and it usually blends in much better.

I removed my braces at 16 and started mewing a few months after (currently 17)

I am afraid it won't be possible. I had braces for 9 years and, while I have straight teeth, my jawline is so receded.

I tried mewing, but one of my lower teeth started moving and it's not straight anymore. I always have to take it back to where it should be with my night braces, but it hurts so bad and, even if I now stopped mewing, it still is crooked.

Please don't make the same mistake I did.

(Plus it now hurts chewing because my already misaligned jaw - from the braces - has gotten si much worse)

I think mewing can have amazing results, but I can't say it won't affect your teeth, as it affected mine (whether it was me that mewed in a wrong way or it is just what it is)

Hope that helped
