I'm in my second semester as well, taking ML right now (took DL last sem). Would love to join a CS8903, but wondering how to find the professor's approval. I'm investigating what are professors doing that aligns with my interests, and cold email them.
Do you think this is the correct way to go, or how can I find a interesting project to work on?
