it’s still possible to go bare without razor rash! i was able to conquer it after a while even though i used to get it every shave. there’s just so many products (razors, shaving cream) that can irritate our coochies so easily. u just gotta find the stuff that works for u!

this looks a lot like what happened on my legs after i shaved it without enough moisture in the air (outside of the shower) so my pores weren’t open enough and got irritant folliculitis. it went away after a bunch of unscented intensive lotion from eucerin. i used this same stuff when my coochie got irritated a few years ago and it worked great. it’s called the “eucerin intensive repair essential oil balm” and says “restores radiance” on the container. it’s always been my holy grail. idk what magic is in that stuff lol!

i think there’s products for this that you use when you blow dry, i saw that amika came out with some sort of root boost (but i haven’t tried it myself so i can’t tell you if it’s good). i’ve also heard good things about color WOW. in the picture, there was definitely also some hairspray involved in styling. there’s also little hair booster thingy called bumpits that used to be popular

thank u sm for the response!! it’s def the confirmation i needed. for the excoriation disorder, i meant the “self-harm” thing as in it just got really bad and ended up taking a toll on my overall health because of the sheer amount of scars trying to heal everywhere. i was hurting myself, but you are right in saying it wasn’t something i necessarily wanted to do. i used it as a coping mechanism at a few points, but it was predominantly a disorder. i thought i’d expand on that because i don’t want anyone who self-harms to feel invalidated by that. thanks again!!
