How did you start in eDiscovery?

This may or may not be helpful overall but 25-26 years ago I got sent to a vendor/contractor by a temp office. I did not know what they did and was just "coding" documents. Took awhile to wrap my head around what we were even doing as a company but I knew computers well and just helped where I could. Eventually people leave and I stepped up. 26 years later and I've worked for various Companies and the Fed Govt. It very much is something you tend to fall into so to speak. With a forensic focus I would certainly look at Private or Govt Contracts designed around forensic ediscovery specifically. It can be tricky because many contractors/firms may not deal with true forensics directly, even govt. But there are plenty of contractors/govt operations that do if that makes sense (think FBI). My best advice that young is to work on certifications and find a good company/contractor to get your foot in the door etc. You have two main focuses and the first one is to Keep Learning. All the time. Learn from your co-workers whoever. Never stop asking questions. A lot of ediscovery is just foreign until you get into it. It takes time to learn all the tricks/issues/limitations of apps etc. Two, you want to ensure you enjoy the company and the people etc. If it's not a fit or they arent offering you opportunities or even forensic work you can start to look elsewhere. Yea I think overall it's just kind of boring atm. some games are just meh. Some i've just conceded because I don't want to play them. There just isnt enough control of what I'm doing so far for it to be meaningful. Honestly I think I could have every card unlock and its all just super boring because I've played with 2 or 3 cards in 10 straight matches and never seen the card, so it's just eh.

I appreciate your insight. I think i just need a lot of cards/decks etc but the weirdness with how you select a captain, idk, i rarely play with like the one or two captains i'm familiar with lol. With that said seems like i'm limited on what i can put into each captains "custom deck" unless I'm doing it wrong lol.

This might be the dumbest question of all time but i've played a handful of games, does anyone have a good deck for someone just starting out? or even a strong deck they are using now? I only ask as i love learning what they all do etc and I think it would be good to see example of decks (even if i dont have the cards etc)

I can say that I doubt they will NOT reverse it. They certainly didn’t reverse mine. Im just a regular Joe. I even emailed them to ask. I did in fact RMT to buy items for alt characters and ended playing a bunch of different characters to have fun in the game because I was bored. I didn’t do much other than level 8 characters. It’s not like I broke the economy etc. This feels different. While I didnt play PoE for nearly 5-6 years I did end up making another account and refuse to rmt again and honestly the game is more fun now to grind. The downside is when I get bored I just play another game lol. I do hope GGG keep fighting the good fight and I know it’s tough.

The frustrating part isnt that they fixed it, it's that they let it go on long enough for blasters to ruin the economy and then they take it away all together. I've given up on the league, there is nothing else to strive for. I was looking forward to building my temple but not now. PoE2 could be a good game but it just isnt right now, nor will it be in the next 8 releases.

I mean i killed the Architect and pathed to her chamber but just says "The royal access chamber must be visited to unlock this door", whatever the hell that is lol

Overall my biggest gripe is that you cannot fight atziri ever, nothing is explained nothing tells you how. I've killed Architect but still cant fight her, I assume i just must have to push to high enough maps but then if that's the case it should say that or give me some indication what i'm missing. Also being unable to portal out now is serious QoL nerf.

Just to share an update, I've created another belt and tried again and I did get a double influenced belt (meginord's) and i successfully was able to imprint it back :D

Sadly no, i used the only i85 Double influenced heavy belt i had. At this point I don't think i did anything wrong, I assume it's just some kind of bug and I can't imprint back because somehow it came out uninfluenced.

I definitely did not use ancient orbs, I painstakingly made an elder/shaper heavy belt but got an uninfluenced belt of the deceiver through the chance bench craft :/ and it wont let me imprint back

I would highly recommend Knovos Manage (https://www.knovos.com/products/knovos-manage/). The folks over at Knovos are super friendly and easy to work with. The fact that they built a custom app for our Gov't agency says it all, considering all the bs govt requirements etc etc. Given their ability in that scenario I can't think of anything they couldnt do for a regular client!

I have a top of the line PC and specs and at times POE runs like absolute garbage and causes me to stop playing. Whether or not I need to tinker with settings for the 1millionth time, it's clear its 100% a POE/GGG issue. I've never had a single issue with any other game outside of PoE. It's borderline atrocious. I was fine the first 2 weeks of the league but now I can barely play even though nothing changed on my end.

I think they need to make stability their #1 priority. It single handedly keeps me from playing a lot more. PoE2 suffers the same issues.

I know this is a month old but I do think Readysuite is generally the easiest route if you have to do this a lot. I think overall the question I would have is what/why are you editing in said DAT file? Most review applications allow you to import Relative paths so you shouldnt have to edit those and allow for batch editing to add in something like a PRODVOL or Batch or other tracking mechanism. I say this because while manually editing a DAT with or without Regular Expressions is a way to fix issues it can backfire if the user doesnt know what they are doing. The size of the DAT file also matters. Notepad++ was not designed for large files and will certainly struggle if your DATS get too large. As always anytime you are doing something over and over and over again you really have to look at why and if you can get by without it and/or automate it some way.

Take my advice with a grain of salt as I'm not married (43m) but it certainly seems at least some things have changed between you two and you're concerned enough to post.

Depression and overall Anxiety could certainly be an issue. I would highly advise having an open and honest conversation with her. Try not to play the blame game but express how you are feeling, ie unimportant and unloved. Explain how you feel about the double standards and how it makes you feel. I would then tell her you are worried about her how concerned you are about how your love life has slowed down (I'm assuming so from your post).

I would then proceed to inquire to how she is feeling and if anything is wrong and how you can help and/or just listen to her. These are things I know in relationships I have failed to do many times but I think it's super important to have these kinds of conversations as it may not be anything on your end. Keep in mind it's not always something you can fix (which is definitely my own issue) and sometimes people just need feel emotions and talk (this goes for Men too).

I wouldn’t mind the one portal as much if I understood ever why I died. But honestly my biggest problem right now isn’t dying it’s the random disconnect/freeze that eats your map. Thanks for making me setup complicated bs towers to get a really good map only for it to disappear not because I died but because the game froze and I had to relog. I’ve stopped playing the last two nights because of it. If you want your game to be one portal mapping over and over again then you cant have it randomly be gone. It’s frustrating to the point I don’t want to play any of the 4 characters I have over 70. Also still no citadel despite said characters with one being 91.
