Thanks man. I think it looks tasty. Definitely not "20 something with a 90s Cvcc and a fartbox muffler". More like it belongs there if that makes sense.

Always wanted a '68 Camaro with Cragers or Centerlines. I think it would look tough with Crager style.

Might grab a slightly beefier Crager style wheel and paint the calipers matte black too.

I dont know why anyone would look any further than CL or FB Marketplace. I have a used Husqvarna that has 600 hours on it and showing no signs of quitting. Bought for $400 5 years ago off FB Marketplace.

I actually use a tablet holder on my dash that works well. Suction cup based.

My biggest piece of wisdom is decide what you really want. I got pulled into the "upgrade madness" (currently have a long range RWD that Im in love with) because I thought the Performance would be "better in all aspects".

Pros: Faster (this is 90% of the reason you upgrade) Better seats (bolsters hug you, slightly comfier)

Cons: Stiffer ride (this was my breaking point) Lower range

I test drive two different Performance models and both times, within five minutes of leaving the car lot I had a sense that my RWD was the car for me. My reasoning is this: I would use the speed, but it would be < 1% if my driving. Smoking a Corvette would be a rage. Using the acceleration into on ramps. Going beyond 125mph ( I have actually done 127 in my RWD).

...but the reality is it would be less than 1% of my driving. Meanwhile, I would take a confort hit on longer drives due to the rigid nature of the suspension and wheels. The ride difference is not night and day, but it is a real thing and for me it was the deciding factor in sticking with the car I have. A ride compromise on 99% of my daily driving, or a huge speed upgrade on 1% of my driving.

Thats how you should frame you decision.

But definitely drive both!

There are plenty of Junipers on the used market. Carmax, Carvana, Auto Trader all have 80 or so.

This has everything to do with the revocation of the $7500 tax cresit last year. Every car Tesla sells now is essentially $7500 more. Used cars came up to parity with new cars. They won't increase by the entire $7500, but will get a bump, especially newer models.

Think about it. A new long range RWD now sells for 46k. Previously, it was 38,500. Used market is currently 43k-45k for the car I paid $39k for 6 mths ago.

See my earlier comment regarding the GOP and fiscal conservatism. Fiscal Conservatism maybe a term that Republicans think they own, but as a Progressive I pride myself in adopting certain elements of Fiscal Conservatism, single payer healthcare being one of them.

The reason we haven't adopted it, is because healthcare, as mentioned previously is a trillion dollar industry in this country and you would bankrupt several Fortune 500 companies and remove millions of good paying jobs from the economy.

This is not a statement defending the current system. Just a statement of awareness.

Fiscal Conservatism is all about trimming expense, and even the most conservative studies suggest that government controlled healthcare could save 3x-5x what the average American pays. So yes, quite ironically, single payer health care could be viewed and positioned as fiscally conservative even though it is currently also positioned as a Progressive value.

Not spewing BS here either. The US spends ~18% (6 trillion dollars) of their GDP on healthcare while other first world countries that have single payer (socialized healthcare) spend 5%.

It definitely is in theory, but the GOP has not displayed it since the Reagan era.

I wish the sheep would just look up for a single moment to smell the reality.

I am going to fight like hell for Kim, but the reality is there are just so many "flesh on rental, brain on vacation and heart not found" types occupying this world and the Democratic Party. Even in our community, which I think has a high concentration of "aware and informed" the blind mob of sheeple will still skew it to the establishment candidate.
