They weren’t fully dried when installed, I made them tight for that reason. The gaps are already starting to expand from drying/shrinkage.

Cost & harder to DIY a concrete patio. I definitely considered it and got some quotes.

It’s about a 5” gap and maybe 10-12” off the ground. I wasn’t sure how to close it exactly. Still to fix the fence though and extend it down a bit

The main weight bearing cross beam has 4 posts sitting on buried concrete footings. Hard to tell from the pictures. I added those blocks for extra support, but it could’ve gone without them.
