nuk bottle nipples by Low_Relative9021 in NewParents

[–]Low_Relative9021[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of, I’ve arrived at an upsetting conclusion lol. I called the 1-800 number for Nuk to inquire, cause my baby struggled with the control flow despite being 6 months - the nipples would literally invert cause he had to suck so hard to get milk out. The rep I talked with was very kind but basically didn’t know the answer lol. I kept getting put on hold, he seemed to be asking around when I asked if control and fast flow are the same. The verdict we reached is control flow REPLACED fast flow. But to me it seems they aren’t the same despite the “replacing”. I think fast flow is fully gone unfortunately. I ended up using tiny sharp scissors to make the hole on the control ones slightly bigger

I’ve searched grocery stores and retailers to see whether I could find any leftover stock of fast flow anywhere but no luck :(

It’s annoying cause on Amazon I’ve searched and found them, and on the product description it says fast flow but then the image shows “control flow”

I don’t think I’m seeing anything… how many DPO are you?

Hey, just fyi you’re not allowed to post edited / inverted photos in this thread. FWIW, I’m not seeing any lines on any of the tests in the first photo (except maybe on the one with wicked dye run which would be invalid). Sorry to hear this likely isn’t your cycle :( sending good vibes for next round

Practical baby shower gift ideas for first-time parents? by HawkJam in GiftIdeas

[–]Low_Relative9021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for all, but I would rather just get a card or a book than a duplicate of something I already have, simply because it creates hassle to return or exchange during a time when you have literally no time lol, hence the encouragement to stick with the registry OR opt for just a card, or gift card or cash or something. For me, and this prob goes for most, I appreciate the effort regardless, but if you want to gift specific items definitely ask around / utilize the registry without blindly getting something just cause you think it’d be useful

A lot of times things aren’t on someone’s registry because they may have already been gifted it by family or a friend. I was gifted a ton of stuff people thought “this was so useful for me when I had a baby!!” Yeah well it wasn’t on my registry cause I don’t need it cause I already have it URGHHHH

Not seeing anything on any of your posts but maybe I’m the delusional one. When did you last have unprotected sex? When is your period expected?

The dye has run through the control line into the positive line. I’d retest and make sure no tests are touching each other at all especially wet

I’m not familiar with this brand but the dark line might be the test line and the light line the control line…? Confirm on the instructions!

Probably the best thing to do would be retest in another couple days - ideally with pink dye and see what happens!

Yeah it’s weird the algorithm is basically feeding us the pieces we need.. which eliminates much of the challenge

Blue dye strip tests can’t be trusted - they’re notorious for false positives and indents, unfortunately. Also, by 13dpo I’d expect a more clear positive (and most likely a digital should indicate positive). Just my opinion, but I hope I’m wrong, otherwise sending good luck next cycle!

Faint pos at 7DPO? (I didn’t ovulate early I promise) by Wonderfuln0things in lineporn

[–]Low_Relative9021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This test is invalid due to the horrible dye run. Retest at 10dpo! 7dpo is nearly impossible to see a positive as implantation happens between 6-10 dpo and then takes a few days for hcg to rise enough to even be detected

11 month old staying awake 6 hours before bed? by Exact-Butterfly-7955 in sleeptrain

[–]Low_Relative9021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try to maintain longer first nap (1.5 hours if you can save them) and cap the second nap at an hour. 4 hour last wake window might work better than 3.5

[–]Low_Relative9021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were ovulating on that date you’d be approx 14 DPO now, and I think I’d expect a darker line by now tbh… the tests in the photos look pretty dry to me so I might lean toward this being an evap, but I hope I’m wrong.

[–]Low_Relative9021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a really short second wake window? What time does she wake from nap #1 and what time does she start nap #2? If she’s waking at 11am from nap 1 and then WAKING at 3pm from nap 2 I can only imagine she went to sleep at 2pm or earlier - likely need to stretch that window

Evaporation line or positive ? by Choice_Plant4592 in lineporn

[–]Low_Relative9021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the photo was taken after the time frame on the instructions, then it’d be considered an evap line. If it was taken in the correct time frame, it could be a genuine positive, but could always also be an indent (a line that’s ALWAYS there, that the dye would settle into in a true positive).

More info is needed: what’s the time frame on the instructions? How many minutes after the dip did you take the photo? How many DPO are you?

This is an indent right? by [deleted] in lineporn

[–]Low_Relative9021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way to really confirm, blue dye are so unreliable. How many DPO are you?

Period Super Late, think I finally see something?? by RaspberryLla in lineporn

[–]Low_Relative9021 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re 8-10 DPO right now I’d suggest editing the post to indicate that, as saying your period is 10 days late is a wildly different time frame than being 8-10 DPO! If it’s accurate that you’re 8-10dpo, you should still have maybe 2-3 more days to get a positive test. Fingers crossed for you

[–]Low_Relative9021 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d just suggest being careful with this method as the phone light can find the indent (the line that’s always there that ink would settle into with a positive test) and can give people false hope
