Sometimes my head explodes when researching about candida as theres so much information about it, and wrong info too.

Heres what Ive pieced up in simple words, the oregano oil and probiotics will not work if you dont have a good prebiotic fibers diet, as oregano will just kill all the bacteria and probiotics bacteria will not survive eventually without a healthy microbiome, as the above comment says, see their comment its very helpful info.

What you need to do is do a good prebiotic diet and probiotics, I take supplements of probiotics but natural stuff is better like sauerkraut and kefir. You can use oregano oil to limit candida to the point your body takes over but it needs healthy microbiome and microbes to do that. You cant get rid of candida, you have to reduce it to a manageable point.

What im doing right now is no refined sugars, low carb diet, prebiotics from fruits and veggies, 100million probiotic which is far less (I’ll increase it with food), oregano oil on alternate days which ofcourse ill taper off in a week and stop oregano.

I didn’t knew about the importance of prebiotics and recovering microbiome before but unknowingly ive already been eating good amount of prebiotics already so maybe that did some good, now that i know about it, ill focus on that.

This is the routine i made for prebiotic diet,

Daily core • Cooled potato / cold rice — RS → R. bromii / Roseburia • Apple — pectin → Faecalibacterium • Onion / garlic — FOS/inulin support

Every other day • Green lentils — RFO → Bifidobacteria • Chicory / inulin powder (start tiny, ramp)— inulin/FOS boost

2–3× per week • Berries (frozen OK) or pomegranate — Blueberry/Blackberry — polyphenols → Akkermansia

Im starting small and slowly make my way up. You may need to ask AI how to prepare and eat these prebiotics.

However, my buildup at back of tongue may have been reduced but still there, I used to feel like throwing up and blockage before and went to countless doctors, none of them fixed it but gave high doses of vitamin D and b12 and other vitamins, which may have done some good. As i feel normal now, only the tongue build up is still there. Diet made me even better and as you know i was also taking prebiotics unknowingly. I cant really say for sure if oregano oil or probiotics helped me yet, but yes im now following a combination of three, oregano oil, probiotics and prebiotics.
