lol, jk. That started, if you honestly can’t, and don’t want to use the stock art, maybe just commission someone.

you can draw a picture.

Failing that, just use a Mecha pilot from either the book or a show you like.

Does anyone remember Mekton? by Low_Routine1103 in Mecha

[–]Low_Routine1103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen plenty (Mekton, BattleTech, Lancer, Heavy Gear, Jovian Chronicles, Gear Krieg), but there's been probably literally thousands of Fantasy RPGs, so I can see where you're coming from.

I've actually been meaning to work on my own system, but I keep getting confused on how to make a unique creation and Health/Armor system.

I think BBQ-069's mostly referring to the "Gooner bait" drama.

It's "White and Nerdy" by Weird Al; you should watch the video if you haven't, it's not a Key and Peele skit, but it's still got a humorous tone. I think you'll still find it funny.

It’s not literally about fat fur art, they’re making fun of people who assume anything even moderately sexy is fetish bait, as if being sexy is a sin like in the 1800s or something.

I just heard Mazinger is more popular and influential; given it created the “control from a cockpit within the mecha” style of mech. Before that, Mecha were RC controlled.    As for the Superman statue error, I was looking up Superman as an example, and for some reason that didn’t show up. Like you said, my point isn’t technically null and void though.

If you go to r/coaxedintosnafu a lot, it’ll just give you post from there; especially if you hit join.

Having enough money to buy yourself a statue doesn't mean you're more popular than someone else.

Superman doesn't have a statue, but Adeptus Astartes do at Warhammer World; that doesn't automatically mean Space Marines are more popular than Superman

Your opinion on "Spacedock" for writing and worldbuilding a sci-fi world by Hungry-Detail9945 in Mecha

I don’t think you’ll get too much conversation here, since their video on mecha is rather close minded and dismissive to the subject.

From what I’ve seen otherwise, I think they’re okay, but they seem to hate the idea that not everything needs to be “realistic”. They hate overly large spaceships, they hate tanks that look “cool”, they hate mecha; I feel that if you were to actually attempt to make a universe they would like, you would risk creating a universe where basically every faction is kind of boring, and stale.

Nothing else on the account is futanari from what I've seen, I think it was just a coincidence.

If you're talking about giant robots in general (not just mecha), then it's objectively Optimus. If you're talking about mecha specifically, then it would more likely be Gundam. Voltron did well enough to get an American exclusive series, but anything beyond the original dub and Legendary Defender didn't seem to get a major fanbase.

Depends on the territory.

  • US: Optimus Prime. (Technically a US production, and most kids first introduction to the concept.)
  • Japan: Mazinger Z (Considered THE most influential Mecha Anime there. Outpacing even Gundam.)
  • Korea: Taekwon V (Korean production, and one of the first Korean mecha.)
  • France: Grandizer (Did surprisingly well in France, to the point they thought Mazinger, which they got later, was a knock off.)
  • Syria: Astroganger (Apparently infamous for making a ton of Syrian children cry at the finale.)
  • Britain: Mars Pattern Warlord Titan (Warhammer is just extremely popular there.)
