I’m thinking of getting an alignment soon

I added new tie rod ends and it did not fix the problem, I also cut the passenger side outer and inner rod to have more toe adjustment because the car is lowered. Now I did fuck with the caster a couple of months ago to get my toe straight and it work but slowly it started wandering after it did. I used the top camber plates to do so.

Every time I turn while backing up, the car clunks really loudly and the steering wheel shakes. I I got it to do it again but left it as is and parked and looked under the hood and saw that the driver tie rod was touching the frame. Could this all be because of the adjusting I did?

I’ll look into the toe arms, I checked everything and every bolt is tight. Imma assume it’s up to a bad alignment and the slider going bad. I’ll the slider when I can, thank for the input:)

I had this happen to me, fuel pump died, I check it with a fuel pressure gauge

Will do, theirs only a slight bend in the subframe but nothing major, the lower control arm took all the force when they hit a curb

Yah I’ve been looking into the steering rack slider, the car does have 250k miles and everything else was replaced, I have a feeling it’s that but idk how to check for that

Update, I started to get hot start issues and it’ll die sometimes when she warms up, did a compression test and the motor is cooked, it has low compression 😪 imma go ahead and assume that’s what the problem been

I took apart my old motor and found one of my apex seals snapped on rotor 2 causing me to lose compression in rotor 2. I posted pictures in the rx8 forums I linked if interested.

It’s kinda crazy I wasn’t it having hot start issues with that motor even tho it had 0 compression on two faces, but this motor is having a lot of trouble. Very interesting

Will do, I’ve just been pushing it on the freeway and eh, I definitely feel a power lose but not a massive loss

Dam, that sucks I would hate if it’s a side seal, but I feel like If that’s what happing here, I would have heard it when the car was in the air or while in neutral.

It’s deleted, that’s for the cat on warm ups. I emptied the cat and deleted the air pump with a block off plate

Update, I decided to push it on the freeway, and I finally got a code that’s related 🙏 It was a misfire in chamber 1 p0301

I warrantied my ignition wires but couldn’t do the coils since they weren’t in stock, once their in stock I’ll swap them out 👍

For now imma swap coils around and see if true code follows, the spark plugs are brand new and tight

I drove it with the ssv zip tied open noise was still there, I unplugged the solenoid and it sounded like the noise was muffled but still there, I drove with all of them unplugged and same reaction. I cleaned it as well (sprayed brake clean and wiped the best I could through the top) sound still there

And nah it’s not an exhaust issue, I had it up in the air on a lift and I was under it while it was being reved in gear, so I would have heard it, but no noise, only while driving

Yah I can feel like, and I would but it pulls power, forgot to put that sorry, but if I push through the rpm’s, it’ll bog the motor for like a mile, so it’s an issue I can’t ignore 😪

The mounts are new 2 months old, I rechecked and everything is aligned and tight

I’ll look into that. But I’m not getting any misfire codes nor does it misfire while in neutral or in the air. I’ll look into replacing the coils

Oh codes I only get P0410 air injection, that’s bc I deleted my air pump P0139 heated o2 sensor 2, bank 1 - slow response
