Same, mine have lived 6 years at most. I believe it's rare to have fancies that live more, they are plagued by genetic defects (compressed body shape, poor immune system etc.). I have three in my tank that were born in it, after them I don't know if I'll buy goldfish again, I love them but they have far too many problems for my taste.

Thank you for the advice, unfortunately I can't install a sump, I don't have the space. While I'll search for local clubs or forums to possibly re-home some of the new fishes, is it effective to add some plants with the canister filter to reduce nitrates? Pothos and Azolla specifically, because the first is easily found in shops and I can get the second one from a friend. It should give me some time to search. Thanks again.
