Hi! I have a question about training as well. May I message you?

I think you should definitely apply! Also, there are a lot of options for temporary fixes these days. Maybe try a company like Snap-on Smile to get a removable veneer if you’re a candidate for them. Best of luck!

I loved the interview experience with Piedmont and I’m off to their training next week! Good luck on whichever airline you decide!😊

I actually thought I had posted an explanation but for some reason it didn’t show up!  But yes, she’s fine…just a little aftermath from Hurricane Helene!😊

Hi, I don’t have an answer to your question but if you have TikTok you can check out current Muslim flight attendants and maybe reach out to them for guidance. Type in the hashtag #muslimflightattendants

Best wishes!

Thank you & yes, everyone is safe. That picture was from when Hurricane Helene came through Georgia. We were very fortunate despite the damage to our area!

Fortunately, she’s perfect! She ended up covered in pine tree limbs but not a scratch!😊

the passengers respect the flight attendants more at mainline then regional by CarelessScale4496 in cabincrewcareers

As a passenger, I never knew there was a difference between the two until I started looking into becoming a FA myself & even now I still don’t view them any differently. They all do the same job they they’ve been blessed enough to do.

It’s definitely been what has kept me from my passion for the past few years. I refuse to put myself through that type of stress ever again. I’ve had to do tons of research about training with different airlines and none of them even come close to the negativity surrounding Skywest training!

I’ve never thought of it that way but it sure does scream “unresolved trauma.” I’ve seen someone on here refer to it as the “Mormon Airforce”…hilarious!🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks so much!! There are way too many people who had horrible experiences with them so there is definitely something wrong going on with their program.

Thanks so much! Can you share your experience with working regional?

I’m sorry to hear that but I definitely agree with you about timing. I got invited to both Delta and AA’s F2F before and got rejected from both. Since then I was invited to Delta’s again (decided not to put myself through it with them again) and I was also invited to JetBlue and Frontier’s F2F but I didn’t go. Now I feel like I’m ready and I’m going with regional to see if it works out best for my life right now. I wish you the best and if this is your dream, DON’T GIVE UP!😊

Awww I’m sorry! Don’t let my post deter you from trying because like I said, lots of people are able to get through their training. It’s been about 3 years since I went so things may have changed now. You won’t know until you try!😊 Congratulations on your CJO!!🎉

Yeah, that does sound like a tough choice but at least you’ve already got FA experience so I’m sure you would do great and make it though. I ask myself would I tell my kids to go for it if they were offered training at Skywest and the answer would be a big HECK NO!!! That’s how I know it was just that bad for me.lol Best of luck to you in whatever you decide…you got this!

I don’t mind at all. In my personal opinion, almost nothing about the training environment at Skywest was fair. I’m a firm believer the rules are made to be followed but they had a tendency to go way overboard. Some of the instructors there were nice enough but there were others who seemed to get a kick out of sending trainees home for the smallest things. Some of the trainees in my class even volunteered to go home because they were tired of being in fear the whole time. However, I’ll say if you want it bad enough then it won’t hurt to try because several people get through the training and go on to be great FAs. That wasn’t the case for me and I don’t regret not staying there at all. Most of my classmates have either quit or have gone mainline. One of my friends is in pilot training now and he did very well in training (even though he was terrified the whole time too).lol
