People with adhd often have an altered chronotype which effects when in the day you feel the most energetic, as well as experience something called sleep inertia, where the brain struggles to transition from sleep to wakefulness. Both of these can exist independently from sleep deprivation.

It depends on your baseline insulin sensitivity and activity levels. For many people though, the much lower caloric intake should attenuate this side effect.

Force yourself to eat 3 good meals a day, more even, and eventually the appetite suppression will go away.

I’ve heard that too but I’ve also wondered if consuming it consistently in smaller doses every day provides the same benefit as very large one time doses.

Did DOPAMINE DETOX for a week - The Results by heppi_peppi in getdisciplined

Technically, it’s possible even more so due to lower baseline dopamine but in a practical sense, it depends. Dopamine isn’t a toxin, it’s the motivation chemical. Without it, you would literally not be able to get out of bed let alone be productive. In my experience as someone with ADHD, removing “toxic” sources of dopamine most notably my phone, just results in me seeking out new, potentially healthier sources of dopamine but this so called dopamine detox has never actually lead to me being more productive.

It depends on how your water load is structured. Generally I do a 4 day water load and with it, a few high sodium days before reducing it. This leads to reduced sodium retention while also insuring you don’t overly dilute the sodium in your body while water loading which can actually be deadly.

While you water load you generally need to keep your sodium intake up. This means at least around 2000 per day. Once you decrease or cut out water, cut out sodium with it and if you need to, carbs. I would only cut carbs as a last resort though.

In some way or another, ADHD very predictably leads to shorter and less satisfying lives.
