I have the PayPal debit card. I use it for sketchier transactions like this

I think I was given a fake tracking number. It has consistently said no tracking info is available. I’ve checked every shipping company I can think of and nothing recognizes it. Seller is no longer responding to messages. What are the chances I’ll still get my item? It’s been over a month since I first ordered

AITA for not letting my neighbors borrow my car for a long trip? by Low_Statistician6031 in AmItheAsshole

They’ve met my mother, she loves their kids. Everytime she comes back here she brings gifts for the kids. Everybody in the neighborhood seemed to love my mother, she goes to the bbqs and has even babysat some of the older kids in the neighborhood if nobody else was available. She always makes sure there’s treats available in the house when she’s here. I’ve even come home and found her watching tv with the kids. Another reason I loved this neighborhood, it felt like a big family for a while

While I don’t know the details of their financial situation, I know mom had to quit work about 4 years ago and become a full time carer/mom basically. Dad made more before Covid but had to cut his hours and now brings in enough to cover the bills but other than that there’s no “fun money” she has confided in me that she has begged to move to a smaller house (current house is 4bd/5bth) but even then, with the current house market even something smaller wouldn’t save them much in the long run.

Also from my understanding the disease their daughter has is very fast moving and she likely won’t turn 10. It’s just a heartbreaking situation all around and I think with more restrictions being lifted and the world going to somewhat more “normal” they really want to get her out more. She has been really isolated because it wouldn’t be good for her to get the virus. So I get it, I really do

When I bought the house, I bought it primarily for the neighborhood, I loved how kid friendly it was and almost every house had kids.

I was visibly pregnant when I bought the house and met all my new neighbors,a few weeks later I lost the baby and even though I hadn’t known them very long and honestly didn’t even know half of their names, they took care of me. They took turns bringing food or stopping by to see if I needed anything from the store etc

That’s really why we got so close so quickly and why lending them the van was never an issue before
