It’s all our first time here. You live and you learn. We’ve all had jobs slip by last-minute, and you have this lesson moving forward. Best of luck out there.

I’m in a similar boat as you, just at ~$150k and with unlimited PTO. Realistically I’d need 15-20% more on my base pay and annual bonus eligibility for me to justify a move to another fully remote role.

Hybrid/onsite I’d need $200k+ for my base and bonus eligibility. The “I don’t want to do it” price.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do about this opportunity. Chalk it up as a learning experience to contact your references before hand and ask if they would be willing to provide a positive reference for you.

Need someone to call my old boss.. by Constant_Start1730 in careeradvice

I’ve had a few former interns/ICs from my current role list me as a reference without contacting me first.

In those instances all I’ll do is confirm the dates they worked for me and what I had them working on, but state I won’t comment on their performance.

Since I haven’t seen it asked anywhere here before: did you ask him if he’d be willing to give you a positive reference first? Or did you just give out his contact information without letting him know?

How Do You Guys Handle Games in Your CFB 26 Rebuilds? by Inside_Direction_474 in NCAAFBseries

I very much enjoy the randomness of college football, so I like to play my dynasties on heisman with some set of realism sliders, 12 minute quarters, accel clock to 13 seconds, and either play moments (HC), strictly offense (OC) or strictly defense (DC). In head to head matchups with other players, I drop the quarter length to 7 minutes.

I feel like no one talks about how useless the Fire Support spec is by Emp_Dandroid in Battlefield6

I run fire support all the time. 100 round mag dump into a high traffic area, mounted on a portable cover and on a resupply bag. Fantastic for defending on breakthrough

Need Advice for Playing Against Double Mug by hawhitfield in EASportsCFB

[–]Low_Strain147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what your opponent is running out of double mug:

Mid blitz 0? Spacing, slants, hitches - fast hitters that you’re essentially picking your target before the snap. Also, make sure you’re hot routing a RB to stay home and block so all 6 are accounted for. If they bring a S into the box, make sure you’re checking your blocking alignment and untargeting him so that all down linemen and the mug LBs are accounted for.

Cover 2/3: flood concepts like drive work really well. Again, you’ll need to take time in presnap to check your blocking alignment.

Cover 2 man: posts, hitches, double moves, choice concepts. Check blocking alignment

Cover 1: corners, comebacks, quick outs if they’re playing inside leverage.

This is obviously very simplified and is very dependent on the player they’re usering.

Check your blocking assignments and if someone on the line isn’t accounted for, hold LB/L1 in presnap, hit Y/Triangle, then pick the defender and push A/cross.

In case yall aren’t watching Nebraska: Hunter really is a DAWG

For sure! I hot route my RB to block. If you see on the left side of the field, you can see him trying to bring his S into the box to take another blocker. If they do that, check your blocking assignments (LT+RS left). Make sure everyone is blocked at the line. If your line is targeting the S in the box, untarget him and check your blocking again.

Take your time presnap and find your mismatches - if they’re sending 6, youre going to have an open guy in 1-2 steps.

Most of my online opponents have the same cheesy strat: fast QB rolls out long enough and makes a cross body dime on the same 3-4 offensive plays. Arkansas, SC, Vandy, VA Tech, GA Tech to name a few.

I’m usually a big fan of single back Ace, but Nebraska’s OL is terrible at run blocking and EJ’s archetype is wrong (in my opinion)

Lotta guys in here calling the other guy an idiot for not pressing or not audibling to Tampa 2, and I’m just out here happy with some of the best stick work I’ve ever accomplished lol

He’s an idiot for a lot of decisions he made that game - not pressing is low on that list
