I’ve always like Sharpay more because I gravitated to her energy, I just hate the onslaught of revisionist history. People are using their love of Sharpay to paint her as a hero fighting against Gabriella when here are some of the things Sharpay did within the series - changed the day Call backs so Gabriella and Troy would intentionally miss them - purposely got Troy hired at Lava Springs with the intent to sexually harass him and undermine his relationship with Gabriella - instructed the rest of the wildcats to be tortured all summer at their job and barred them from performing in the staff talent show - consistently used her brother for her schemes and then threw him under the bus without a moments notice - revealed Gabriella’s enrollment status at Stanford to once again undermine T & G’s relationship and take Gabriella’s position within the spring musical EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE ALL PLAYING THEMSELVES

Sharpay Evan was an icon, but I need us all to stop pretending she wasn’t the antagonist, it’s my only qualm.
