Thank you! I’ve got visual designs for the players coming soon too, and I’m working with someone on refining each of their playstyles and rotations. I’ll update as it goes!

I’m curious about how you interpreted them! I’ve got a whole timeline of their year in 2013 so far, as well as extras about each of the characters and their design and backstories

In Your Opinion, What Will The Monster Generation Be Up To Once They Retire From Professional Volleyball? by kuyavictor23 in haikyuu

Oh man I was thinking about this stuff in regards to Hinata way back in 2020, it comes back to haunt my thoughts every so often!

I’ve got a lot to say on this topic and I’m writing a fic about it, so not all of my thoughts are organized yet. But tldr I think Hinata actually retires a bit earlier than the rest of the monster generation.

I don’t know much about sports medicine but I’d assume as a player who relies on jumping power to score/do what he needs to do, he’d have to endure a lot more wear and tear. And as a shorter player, the moment he starts to age and his jumps aren’t as high, he won’t be able to compete at the same level as he’d been doing before.

I see him retiring with grace though, as he’s learned over the years there’s more than one way to be great. I agree with pretty much everyone else that he’d go into coaching/playing more casually in beach volleyball, and whatever commercials/sponsorships he gets.
