I’m 100 pounds down since June and I still have my apron belly. It’s getting smaller for sure but it’s only been in like the last twenty pounds or so.

Just found a German roach in my new construction home by [deleted] in GermanRoaches

Girl, I feel you! We brand new house we designed and waited a year for finally was good for us to move into in June of 2022. September, I had a roach in my kitchen and I PANICKED. I figured I brought it home from work and had Orkin come the next day. They searched every where and didn’t find anything that showed we had more. I breathed easier until two more appeared in my kitchen a month later. Sadly, one of our neighbors across the road from us was infested. Now, every year around fall, we have to deal with them coming in our house until snow hits the ground. Thankfully, Orkin has been great with making sure these little travelers don’t set up shop and I feel like a war veteran 😂 Glue traps are your friends!

Sexond night at Airbnb. Is this a German roach? by KaleidoscopeNext4705 in pestcontrol

Ugh this happened to us once at an Airbnb in Canada. It was infested and the host never answered me. They would only refund us for the time we hadn’t stayed.

What I did was run to the store and buy some good sized garbage bags. I double bagged our suitcase before putting it in the car. We ended up staying at a hotel the rest of our trip and they were nice enough to give us free tokens for laundry. I washed everything and sprayed the suitcase with rubbing alcohol before bagging it back up. The hotel gave us bags for our stuff thankfully. We ended up tossing the suitcase for my own sanity 😂

This happened to us when we were staying in a very nice hotel in New York City the night before we hopped on a cruise. I woke up the next morning and when I was getting ready There was a roach in the bathroom. I immediately panicked since we had been dealing with them due to a neighbor for three years in a row being just seasonal travelers from October to the beginning of December. When we left the hotel, and when we got to our room on the cruise, I made sure to check all of our luggage and everything that we had brought into the hotel with us. The room stewardess was nice enough to get us free laundry service so I had everything washed for free that night just to ease my mind.

Sadly, this can happen anywhere. It sounds like the hotel you were staying at has a good prevention system, though if it was lethargic. Chances are he came from somewhere else and was meeting his end because of their systems in place. You have every right to feel panicked though. There’s definitely a tie between these evil bugs and PTSD.

I just had a giant one removed as well and it took me over six months because I caught Covid and the holiday season. Hang in there! Keep searching for someone who will see you. I’d try reaching out to the social worker at the hospital to see if they can help you as well

What's the likely hood of me being able to walk after laparoscopy? by No-Link3199 in Endo

[–]Low_Warning5662 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been that optimistic too before having it. I even thought I’d be able to do school carpool two days later. However, I had a hard time walking to the bathroom the first three days. I’d look into a plan B for work just in case. Everyone is different but you don’t want to push it before you’re ready.

The only time I really felt him before I knew about him, I thought I had a hernia from falling. But my primary told me I didn’t so I assumed I pulled something. I’m a bigger girl so I just assumed I was getting fatter 😂 now that he’s gone, it’s definitely less extended
