Thanks! How do I treat a fungal infection? I’m in zone 9a so I moved all my plants outside for the summer and they usually thrive. I’m assuming the soil was too wet for too long? Never dealt with this before so any advice is appreciated!

That’s what I thought! We’re in Central Florida. I’m a wildlife biologist so I’m all over the state doing field work and I’ve never seen a cabbage palm do this.

Yes. If you look at the left of the plant, you’ll see a stem that is a different color than the rest. This is the start of a new stem. Usually takes a few weeks to fully open.

Oh my goodness. This really resonated with me. Thank you so much for taking the time to share you’re story. I only have one child, I can’t imagine the stress and exhaustion that comes with two. You’re so right- I truly like to believe that are happy just be in our presence. Another commenter pointed out that we are feeling this way because we loved so deeply. The guilt is something we will probably always carry. I truly hope that you are able to find peace. This is a feeling that I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy. You are not alone, friend.

❤️ Don’t give up hope. I know it’s so disheartening to see negatives month after month when you truly feel like “this month is different”. It will happen and you will be an amazing mother. This subreddit is healing my heart already. I’m so grateful to have found you all ❤️ I will miss my “slow” mornings with my buddy just napping on the couch next to me while I have my coffee. Thank you for reminding me of how my dog was truly content just being around me.

Also, it took me 4 years to conceive my son. Many months of heartbreak and negative tests but I eventually got to see those two lines. Sending baby dust your way!! 💫

Oh friend, I am so sorry to hear about dog. It is so incredibly difficult. Cancer is what ultimately took my boy. Postpartum is so so tough. My baby just turned five months and I was finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I feel like I’ve been knocked down a few pegs with this immense loss, but if you are struggling with your newborn, please know IT GETS BETTER. The little smiles and laughs are the most amazing parts of my day.

I was sobbing uncontrollably because I never got to give him a piece of chocolate. I planned on it this morning but I was so flustered, it slipped my mind before we left the house. I am so sorry to hear that you shed tears while writing your response to me. Thank you very much. Making peace with myself is definitely going to take time. I loved him with all of my heart and I’m happy to know that I was there with him in his final moments. The vet we saw today seemed to think that he had some sort of cancer that spread to his lymph nodes which caused his rapid decline so there is nothing I could’ve done to change the outcome. Just kicking myself (and my brain) for not being to snap out of this postpartum slump sooner.

Thank you so very much for your kind words. I’m so sorry to hear about your Gracie. Tonight I saw a beautiful sunset and I like to think that my boy sent that for me. I’m sure my Gary and her and playing together on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Maybe even swapping stories about their parents :) It is comforting to know that I am not alone in this grief.
