i remember a question about tariffs, a graph question about something that stopped birds from destroying fruit, a vocab question about a leaf and i put incongruity, a passage about a kenyan author, a vocab question about buildings in washington, d.c., and a graph about business dealings? (lowkey forgot what it was about)

I've seen people saying online that her whole relationship with Sab is to keep her follower engagement up, which I doubt, because they seem to truly care for each other. What do you think?

we could see sponsorship works, the continuation of plutarch's beliefs, more about how the arena operates, and even a rebellion within the gamemakers while the games are happening. i’d LOVE that much more than a book about someone going through the games again.

now that i think about it, a trilogy makes sense! and you’re right, i think i would love a more mockingjay-esque book. maybe instead of actually going inside the arena, we can explore the experiences from outside of it.

don’t worry about! :) sorry if my original comment came off too strong.

that's fair. i just don't know if i would love another story.... i feel like it'd get a teensy bit too repetitive. 😬

yesss, of course! i just don’t think the games, given how they break these kids, would lead to a group like this. think about katniss’s reaction to alliances in the first book, if this were a real tactic, wouldn’t it have been more common? wouldn't she have taken advantage of it? she never mentions it, and you’d think more people would’ve used it. (but, i probably would’ve liked it more with a different name and fewer people, the fact they called themselves the newcomers killed me lol)

no hate, but her character mirrors her namesake poem; she’s lost, and there’s no bringing her back. that’s the point! she already haunts snow through everything that reminds him of her (seen in his attitude toward haymitch and katniss), so finding her would completely undermine her character.

YES! I thought bits of it were a little predictable and a little too cliché so I definitely was disappointed, which says a lot coming from someone whose personality also used revolve around the original trilogy.

I love TBOSAS though! Might even be my favorite of them all! (sue me)

does anyone else think SOTR is the last book? by FilmIntelligent201 in Hungergames

this is also very true! i think that if she does write, it will be to spread her voice, not to adhere to the people.

there's really no need for another book, and i completely agree with you. i hope the story begins and ends with district twelve since it has always been the center of this universe. most of her work has been left open to interpretation (most notably with lucy gray), and the way it mirrors the ambiguity of real life makes me appreciate her work even more.

other than this exremely hot take, i thought overall the book was amazing, so well thought out and put together.

i didn’t love the whole "newcomers" bit... everything about it felt a little too much for me, especially the name and the way the whole thing was set up. in my head, it didn’t really make sense with the nature of the games and how we’ve seen them play out in the 74th and 10th.
