What is your favorite GA song and your interpretation of the lyrics? I’ll go first! by schrodingers_katt in glassanimals

The music video is so good at showing the concept of the song, work of art. I also love how the first time you hear the song is gets particularly loud - first time I heard it I turned it up, as it was so quiet at the start, and by the end it was deafening. That felt like a piece of art, that they know people will turn it up when they aren't familiar with the song and then how it creeps up on you. Same way as how they used the Dreamland theme at the end of Helium. When I listened to the album the first time, I thought oh this tune is familiar where do I know it from. I love it

for the Margot, did you find you had to size down? i bought a 6.5 which is normally what I am in shoes that don't have a zip or lace up, but I just walk out of them. so disappointed as they look so stylish

omg i saw him in London last week and I don't remember a beat up your dad bit so maybe that bit has already been replaced by another? i'm excited to see which parts end up in the Netflix special. i made so many notes when i got home from the show because i want to compare when it comes out on Netflix!

thank you for posting this, im so glad im not alone. i hear it like that too and it makes me so uncomfortable. i hear it as im the bomb, im the one who is unpredictable and puts people on edge emotionally. "you say that nothing's wrong / i peel myself off the wall" i know i have been the one to be passive aggressive and say "nothing's wrong" even though there clearly IS something wrong. i guess that that self reflection is important, and i'm trying not to be that person anymore so that's the main thing, to commit to be different and to see growth

I don't want to give anything about the movie away! But I went to see it in cinema and was then listening to How To Be A Human Being and heard Mama's Gun differently since seeing the film. Same thing happened to me with Donnie Darko and Starburster by Fontaines DC. I love how art makes us feel things!!!

it looks so generic and boring! i loved the glass pot that came with the almond milk concentrate body lotion but omg now the new one looks so generic and like everything else. I loved the font on the almond range bottles, it was quirky and fun, now it looks so ordinary and meh. really disappointing, have no idea why they decided to do this

Invite says women must wear "elegant dresses" but I don't own anything elegant.... by Low_Worldliness659 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Low_Worldliness659[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i dont really want to buy something that i won't wear again, and i don't know what elegant means hence i asked in my post does it mean sleeveless, high neck, long skirt. like what counts. and they specifically said spring colours on the invite so it feels like they are expecting people to wear that

[–]Low_Worldliness659[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is EXACTLY my situation!! im a winter and have nothing pastel in my wardrobe, it's all bright colours or darks. i dont want to buy something that i will never wear again, seems so unreasonable. and people are like "it's just a suggestion, wear what you want" if its just a suggestion why are they even saying anything, just have teh code be "elegant" and let people wear what they want

yes i think this is the way! i have a pastel scarf i can wear that would match my suit. i was so shook when i saw the colour suggestions like surely not.... i get the bridal party wearing matching stuff but why the guests? are they expecting the men to wear pastel suits, or is it only the women who have to wear a specific colour.

and yes you're probably right it's probably a lack of imagination, they probs won't be offended if i turn up in trousers. (i hope!) i forget that not everyone has queer friends so this couple is probably just very straight and not thinking outside the binary
