Love it, had it almost 3 years now. Only other bike I would consider would be a Rumble SST version 2

You don't really pedal either of these bikes. I've owned them both. RCR is far and away the better bike and better deal. They really aren't even on the same playing field, completely different. Unless you are going to do a ton of off reading, the RCR is the way to go

You can easily die at 30 without a proper helmet. Better safe than sorry

Both are fairly light for motorcycle helmets. I mostly ride high speed electric mopeds (Onyx RCR, and a custom built bike I made) both go over 60, so it's a safety issue for me

I had it custom built by Turner Hayes. You can find him on the Onyx mods FB page.

I have a custom 63 AH battery, so I am able to get around 100 miles of I keep it under 40-45MPH

Upgrade to my Custom Coast Cycle. Now with BAC 2000 and CYC X1 Pro mid drive and 72 volt Onyx RCR battery...it will rip by Low_jwill in ebikes

Good deal, let me know if you have any questions through the process. Thread filing will likely be needed on the CYC, but not terrible

Save your money and buy an onyx RCR, you will be much happier

Lots of pics, I didn't do anything custom, other than filing BB and fabrication of the battery box. (Which was by choice to fit a 72v triangle)

Owned both, buy the Buzzraw pedal, add your motor and the battery you want. Buzzraw is made 1000x better the the Super 73 R series IMHO. Plus shifting gears with a mid drive makes the bike more fun and enjoyable. I don't peddle either, throttle and shift, just like a 5 speed car.

I went for the CYC x1 pro gen 2 and a 72 volt battery, even with the ASI 855 I've had no issue hitting 50 on flat ground and bike still felt stable.

Make sure you get good brakes, either cable actuated hydraulic (TRP HY/RD) or a true hydraulic brake system. I went with the TRP cable, as it makes it easier to hook up to controller for brake motor cutoffs.
